They’re the EPITOME of rivals to friends to lovers. They have to hang out with each other bc their friends are all friends and it is Very Tense. They’re both v petty and shit hits the fan fast.

Alex: How’s your mom?

Mallory: How’s yours?

They’re forced to talk on the quest to stop Loki and postpone Ragnarok and somehow they get along worse lmao. They talk so much shit to each other and T.J is literally the only person who doesn’t notice.

Magnus: Mallory and Alex really hate each other

T.J: Aren’t they just like that???

It gets so bad that their friends have to choose who to hang out with on any given day bc the chaotic energy with both of them in the same room is through the roof.

It’s around the time that Mallory breaks up with Halfborn that her and Alex actually start to get close?? At first it’s just subtle things like not spitting in each others food and no one really notices it until they see Alex laughing at a dumb joke Mallory made.

They play dumb pranks on Magnus and T.J all the time and probably owe them reparations by now

They’re constantly touching. Not even in a romantic way per say but they’re always holding hands or leaning against each other and it is very cute

They get very very close and istg you could cut the sexual tension with a knife

Mallory invites Alex over for a sleepover (does it count as a sleepover if you live on the same floor??) and they binge watch A:TLA bc Mallory’s never seen it and as far as Alex is concerned that is a crime

Alex braids Mallory’s hair while they watch and it’s the sweetest I love them🥺

Around midnight Mallory asks if she can do Alex’s makeup and Alex is really excited bc she never really got the chance to (petition to kill Alex’s f*ther)

Mallory is applying lipgloss on Alex and she starts staring intently at her lips

Alex: What if we kissed 😘and we’re both girls 👭🏳️‍🌈 haha just kidding,,,,unless😳😳

Alex leans in slightly and Mallory lets out a shaky breath and leans in for the kiss

They’re so flustered afterwards that they don’t talk to each other for the rest of the week

Alex is freaking out bc while she knows that Mallory is bi she doesn’t know if she would be uncomfortable with the fact that she’s gender fluid and not always a girl and Mallory’s freaking out because, “Holy shit I kissed my best friend.”

Alex goes to Sam for advice and she says and I quote, “Don’t drag me me into your dyke drama.” (Sam’s allowed to say it bc she’s a fellow gay but that’s for another post)

Alex is kind of frustrated that Sam didn’t give her actual advice but she also kind of figured she wouldn’t bc she is done with Alex’s shit and also bc Sam’s meddling played a part in the Fierrochase breakup 😐🙃

Alex decides to take matters into her own hands at the same time that Mallory does and they ask each other out at the same time like the losers they are :’)

Hhhhh this has gotten very long but basically they watch a movie and go roller skating and they’re cute murder gfs god bless
