she wasn’t his nemesis, but he could tell she also wouldn’t be an ally of any kind. narrowing his eyes at her, he decided it would be best if he kept an eye on this one. something was off about her.

dipper likes to think he knows his sister. when you live with someone for almost thirteen years, you tend to pick up on their quirks. mabel is all sweaters, stickers and glitter, coupled with an almost inhuman amount of optimism. his sister is unique and unmistakable, so he’s absolutely certain that the person standing in front of him wearing her face is NOT mabel. she can’t be. there’s any number of creatures she could be, but she’s absolutely not his sister. “ what are you and what have you done with my sister? “

“M--Mabel? Wait... That can’t be right.” Dipper stared in disbelief, unable to look away from her. But something was up. Yet, Dipper was trying his best to piece it together. “Why... Why do you... Why do you look like Gideon?”

❝ hey gids !! wait up !! ❞ pacifica yelled after her cousin while she ran, but not out of irritation. they were merely playing a little game of tag since their uncle didn’t need them in the shack today. but the blonde girl didn’t see the brunette that came from an ally way out of nowhere. which caused pacifica to crash into her. the blonde was quick to get on her feet & help the other up. ❝ i am s-so sorry, m-miss gleeful !! i-i -- i didn’t see you !!. ❞

his first reaction was stunned. he had never seen mabel in anything other than an adorable sweater, which he didn’t mind in the slightest, but seeing her in another outfit made him realize how gorgeous she really was. he noticed how her color scheme mimicked his own, almost as if she were a part of his attraction. gideon stared for a while, checking her over, before realizing his second emotion. confused.
why was she doing this ?? he realized now she perfectly had mirrored what he would expect her to look like if she joined the tent of telepathy. why would his precious mabel have a sudden change of heart ?? of course, having grown up a considerable amount, he no longer obsessed over her. it didn’t mean he didn’t retain some of his boyish adoration for her- just that she no longer occupied every aspect of his life. he coughed a little before his usual southern drawl relayed his next words.
