Thank you for replying, I have three more questions! One, in Inspector Spacetime, what is Mona like and how did she feel about the Inspector sacrificing himself for her? Two, the character of Michelle is from the Inspector Spacetime Wiki, who befriended the Ninth Inspector and Lily and even took a Blorgon blast intended for the latter, but why did she snap her fingers to indicated everything would be fine? And finally, I’m working on an Inspector Spacetime fanfic where Himeko from Honkai: Star Rail meets the Fifteenth Inspector and she and her crew become his Associates, and Himeko sacrifices her life for them, but what kind of noble death would fit her? Make it three possible choices?
I'm happy to answer questions!
I'm not involved in the Inspector Spacetime Wiki. The person who runs that has blocked me here on tumblr. I have looked at that wiki before and, frankly, it looks like the person who runs that must be from Petra's world, given the number of differences in names and episode titles/descriptions. I do my best to stick to the programme as it exists in our world, but basically this blog is my commentary on various aspects of Inspector Spacetime.
Mona is a very caring and sometimes brash woman. She knows what she believes in and does what she reckons is the right thing to do in a given moment.
It was Mona's grandmother, Pearl, for whom the Tenth Inspector sacrificed his life. The Inspector knew that she still had so much to give to society that giving up one of his incarnations so that she could live on was more important.
Oh, you were referring to Michael, the short-term Associate of the Ninth Inspector. Yes, well, he didn't sacrifice himself, but created a situation in which he could never be in public again, lest the Satellite 4 implant activated and caught the attention of the Security Services, who would likely lobotimise him to gain access to future technology that the Inspector knows humans couldn't handle. Still, the fact that he kept forgetting stuff every time it activated made it seem like he was dying.
Rather a sad ending for someone so brilliant, but he sort of had it coming because he tried to steal information from the future that would've made him insanely wealthy. He could've caused the next world war and everyone knows how that will end, right?
I always found the Fifteenth Inspector to be severe, strict. I doubt they would stand for anyone like Honkai. That would be a difficult relationship, but I'm not writing that particular story. Go forth with all your ideas and create a wacky adventure where the Inspector takes her crew to points in the cosmos they've never seen and make sure they get up to high-jinks the likes of which the producers at BTV could never put on screen. :)
A noble death for an Associate would certainly be one in which said Associate sacrifices his/her/their life to save the Inspector from a final, brutal end, especially if the Associate also saves the BOOTH in the process.
Thank you again for the intriguing questions! I wish you luck in your writings.
