@bellassan is bellassa like the official safe haven for resigned padawans or--
She still wasn’t really sure how she was able to find where Ferus had gone--or if it was really her right to try and find him--but something in the Force and her own instinct (plus some less-than-legal digging) brought her to the planet of a golden afternoon that lasted for hours. It had been nearly a year now since he’d left; would he remember her? Would he want to see her? They had been friends, but would he embrace her or (rightfully) turn her away as a reminder from the Order he’d left?
Chyla slipped her bag over her shoulder, pulling her thin headscarf from around her pastel hair as she headed from the transport station and out to the city streets of Ussa. All she knew was that Ferus was here and nothing else; he could have been anywhere in the city.
“Stars, what did I get myself into?” She stopped herself from reaching for the braid behind her right ear that wasn’t there anymore. Having been insecure with her place as a Padawan for months, Ferus resigning had thrown a rock through the thin glass of her confidence. Months without a friend to confidently voice her insecurities to and Chyla grew more and more inside herself. After another mission where Chyla felt she could have done more but had to return to Coruscant nonetheless, she handed in her lightsaber.
Tired feet and an aching heart roamed the streets for hours, her worries clouding her ability to sense Ferus. She feared to call to him through the Force, not wanting to spook him, wondering if he would even recognize her, and she was so uncertain Chyla was sure she wouldn’t have been able to focus long enough to find him.
Then she turned the corner and saw Ferus across the street. Well, it actually took her a moment to realize it really was him. He was sitting outside, a holobook in his hands, golden streak of hair reflecting in the glow of dusk. He looked so familiar; she’d seen him just like this plenty of times in the Gardens or Archives. Looked so familiar, yet felt so different--
Chyla paused at the street corner, staring like a fool, but not quite able to move forward and greet him. Was this right to do? Was this what was right?
As if I needed more proof that I’m an automotive jinx ... today I was involved in another car accident. With a deer. For the third time.
