You are possessed by an evil demon who is using your body to further his nefarious plans. Fortunately, you have managed to regain some control over your body, not much, but enough to alter minor motions and the like, particularly if he isn't consciously using some part of the body. How will you take advantage of this to try and stop his evil plans and take your body back.
Thanks to a stable time loop, a group of data-physics universes have self-created, each with a game of Sburb- ending with the creation of the next universe in the chain, until the set loops around. It doesn't matter too much how long the chain is. However, one universe in the chain has two sessions. One that creates the next universe in the chain, and another 'null session' in which one of the pre-prototypings was an eldrich abomination. The absurdly powerful Black King breaks out of the first medium, and tears his way into the second. The Super Black King quickly takes over this sessions army, but finds he can't destroy its Skaia, because 'the chain must be completed.' Else the universe would never have been born, and the Super Black King never created, and thus never able to destroy Skaia, thus the universe would be created, and the Super Black King would be able to destroy Skaia, etc. He settles for killing off all the players instead, hoping to delay the Ultimate Alchemy as long as possible. That's when the protagonist comes in. Finding the destroyed remains of the universe from which both sessions began, the protagonist studies the Cruxite dowels, and manages to open a portal into the medium. Protagonist investigates the history of the session, slowly learning of its nature, but is ultimately overpowered by the Super Black King, who breaks out into superspace, seeing for the first time the billions of universes it could destroy. Without any further hope, the protagonist flees to an earlier session (Possibly utilizing the unusual chrono-properties of the mediums. Maybe a scratch?) and attempts to defeat those players, so as to stop the Super Black King from ever being born- even if it means sacrificing a few universes. tl;dr: A ridiculously complicated scenario in which the protagonist attempts to stop a group of Sburb players from winning. (This may or may not have been the plot of my Single Reacharound before I decided I could never pull it off)
Brickman gives us two ideas:
Your husband's corpse. This is... your husband's corpse. Yes, he was a soldier. Yes, the order to engage in combat was given to him and he was given a token offer to throw down his sword. But... he was only defending his home, his village, his empire. And those... knights of legend, they struck him down and did not even care. When one of their own fell they were said to spend a week in mourning for her; when they slew an enemy general they gave him a proper eulogy for all their army to hear. But your husband, whose name they had never heard and whose face they did not recognize, was nothing to them, just like the three dozen others they cut down on this very day. Fate, if it exists, is on their side; these four men could win against an army with ease. You will fail, and when you do they will take no note of you and your name will be forgotten. To them you are nothing. But... you have to try. You have to at least try to avenge his death, to tell the universe that it is not acceptable to ignore some while favoring others, that you are not nothing. Even if you know you will fail. Even if to Fate you truly are nothing.
And this weird puzzle shit one:
You get a normal person-in-a-series-of-rooms-probably-with-weird-puzzle-shit-or-something plot, except each room has one or more green or red signs in it. The signs are actually rules about the posts in the thread. For instance, the first room might have a red sign with the words "Sign" and "Door" on it, and any person whose post contained the words "sign" or "door" would have his post ignored. The next room might have a green-bordered "Sentence Sentence Sentence" or "word word word word word word word" on it, and any post which was not three sentences or seven words would be ignored. As things went the rules would become more and more draconian, banning letters or demanding haikus or whatever else the author can think of; rules would be per room but the number of signs would gradually increase. Also by about room three there should be a red sign with a picture of someone whispering, meant to mean "Intentionally failing to obey the rules for the sake of planning while the protagonist can't hear you isn't allowed".
