I just saw a guy making a video as a "What If" on War of the Worlds if the Martians didn't succumb to the common cold, and just kept fighting and what would happen and he made this comparison:
A Napoleonic Army fighting a dozen Ned Kelly's. The premise was of course that there were less than 50 Fighting Machines, three had gone down to artillery and naval gun fire/ramming, and with the British Army in 1907 being made up of at least 250,000 men, it wasn't a fight the Martians were going to win.
I got a great chuckle out of this, and in 42:35 abouts he makes an excellent Winston Churchill impression.
