Hey there so here goes part 2 for my fanfic with Eric!!! Hope you like it! It’s going to be shorter than yesterday’s but I’ll do my best!!!
If you didn’t read part 1 you sould so you can read it by pressing this title -> Bad Boy
After a couple of hours you and Peter went back to bed and you felt more confident and less irritated, the physical activity had helped you to get rid of some of the stress you had and you were quite tired.
As soon as you got to the room you got changed and dropped on the bed.
“You’re not quite what they are going to expect” Peter said from his bed in a whisper.
“I just hope I’m good enough to pass” you said.
“Well if we keep doing this you definitely will”
“Where did you learn to fight?” You asked him.
“I don’t really know how to fight, I’m just strong.”
“I think you will be in the Top 3″ you said holding back a yawn.
“I know I’m going to be on the Top3″ he said.
“Goodnight” you whispered as you fell asleep.
“Good morning initiates!!! Time to get up and get some work done” Being woken up by Eric’s deafening screams.
You groaned and got up, you didn’t really like the idea of changing in front of everyone so you just made an effort and turned around. You got changed and turned around again as Christina and Tris joined you.
“Are you ready for today?” Christina asked.
“Guess so” Tris muttered.
Let’s say the training wasn’t too gentle with any of you. By the end of it there wasn’t a single part of you which didn’t ache.
You had been very silent the whole day, truth be told, your behaviour from the previous day wasn’t too common.
It took you a while to adapt and gain confidence in new places, and until you did you were shy. The previous day had been an exception because you were quite overwhelmed by everything going on. You had been focusing the whole day. You needed to learn everything you could before the tests started. Well, tests or whatever they were called in Dauntless.
While you punched and ran you remembered, remembered about the days spent in Erudition, reading about Divergents, about the human body and its limits, about love stories, fantasy, drama.
You had always been extremely interested on Divergents, discovering you were one of them shocked you and worried you.
You knew your initiation would be divided in two parts, and if you managed to pass the first one, you were worried about what would happen after.
You would have to be extremely careful with your actions during the second phase, you knew no one would help you.
That line of thoughts was stopped everytime Eric or Four would scream you were changing the activity.
When you finally finished training you went straight to your room. You showered taking advantage of being alone at that hour and got ready to go to have dinner. When the time came you headed towards the room and sat in the same place as the previous day.
You ate the same, but absentmindely, you couldn’t stop thinking, thinking about what Eric had said, about not passing, about training with Peter that night.
“Y/N?” Christina said snapping her fingers before your eyes.
“Yes?” You asked snapping out of your thoughts.
“You’ve been off the whole day, is something wrong?”
“No, don’t worry, I’m just tired” you said forcing a smile.
“Well, we all are, they are fucking crazy I mean, how can they possibly think we are going to get through this?” she asked. You chuckled. “We are going for a walk after dinner, maybe get some tattoes, are you coming?”
“I think I’ll just stay away from those for a while thank you very much” you said with a smile.
“You scared pumpkin?” a voice said behind you.
You just turned around and didn’t answer, you really didn’t know how to answer You were a sarcastic person, but you didn’t feel confident to talk back.
“Just sleepy” you muttered and turned back around.
“You are aware he only talks to you right?” Will asked.
“Yeah I know, I’m the only one who managed to piss him off the first day” you said. “I’m really that lucky”.
By that time all of you had finished eating.
“Are you sure you don’t want to come with us?” Tris asked.
“Yeah, sorry, I promise I’ll go with you another day”
After that they left and you headed to the room, there were some people there, about five initiates, Peter among them.
“Hi there” he said dropping himself on your bed.
“Thanks for making yourself at home.” you said laughing.
“I knew you were dying for it” he said.
“Wow, didn’t think I was so obvious” you muttered as you sat on the bed.
“Same time as yesterday?” he asked.
“Yeah, but I think we should just train for an hour.”
“Agree. I’ll wake you up” he said jumping off the bed.
You covered your body with the sheets and sighed as you felt your muscles relax.
Your whole body ached and you didn’t remember being so tired ever. After training with both, Peter and the group for days you felt exhausted.
You turned out to be quite good at throwing knives and specially good at shooting. Your aim was quite good but aparently Eric thought otherwise.
“You need to rest more of the weapon’s weight on your shoulder” he said behind you.
You tried to change your position but you didn’t quite get how to do that without losing the hability to aim correctly.
“Your aim is pretty good but you need to improve the position.” he took the hand which you used to keep the weapon steady and put it away from it. “Start by putting the shotgun’s butt on your shoulder and adapt your arm and hand from there” he said pressing the shotgun’s butt against your shoulder and putting your arm aroung the weapon himself. “Now it’s better”
“Thank you” you muttered. His touch had made you really nervous, it made you feel bubbly and you weren’t used to that so you just tried to supress your excitement and aimed at the target. Right in the middle.
“Nice on pumpkin, maybe you’ll even manage to pass the first round although your likely to lose even your first fight.” It amazed you how he was capable of ruining the nice thing he said with a rude one, he somehow managed to make the critic rough enough just to make you forget about the compliment.
Next day the fighting started, and let’s just say it wasn’t nice. Eric didn’t make you fight but Tris ended up pretty bad and so did most people who fought that day.
That night you forced Peter to make some promises. The both of you promised that if the two of you had to fight against eachother neither of you would go easy on the other one. The other one wouldn’t get mad. Each of you would have to do their best. You were becoming pretty attached to Peter, and that was never a good thing.
After seeing Peter fight three times you had learnt his moves. You knew how he played around and tried to fool his enemies. He hadn’t seen you fight against a person yet, so that was positive for you.
“Y/N and Peter” Four said “Your turn” You were pretty worried. You needed to win this or you would have trouble passing the line.
“Let’s see what are you made of pumpkin” Eric whispered as you walked past him.
You knew Peter would try to move first so you didn’t bother to try to start. He was right-handed so you knew what side he would attack from first.
When you saw him start to move to the side you hurried to move to the opposite side and kicked him as hard as you could on his stomach, he flinched for a second and then went back to the fight.
He tried to kick you this time, but you managed to move away in time. After that he aimed at your fight ant managed to make you tumble, you threw at him a couple of punches which landed on his side and neck and somehow he managed to make you fall and pin you to the floor.
Before he punched you square on the face you kicked him as hard as you could between the legs and got him off you. You would need him to pass out in order to win. You started running through your memories looking for something useful as you pinned him against the matress.
You knew you wouldn’t manage to keep him there for too long so as soon as you saw he was about to make you fall you stood up fastly.
You remembered there is a point in your neck which, if pressed correctly and for the right amount of time has the ability to knock out someone.
When he stood up you jumped on his back and as he stumbled for some seconds you got on arm around his neck and the other one looked for the point. As soon as you found it you pressed and counted. You knew Peter was desesperating so he started to try to get you off. After forty seconds he passed out and fell backwards, which made you be squeezed between his heavy body and the matress.
You groaned as the pain ran through your back. Got Peter off you and got him sitting down.
“Training is over for today” Eric shouted and everyone left in a hurry as Christina and Tris smiled at you and waited at the door.
“Four please, take Peter to the infirmary.”
“Can I go with him?” you started to ask but Eric cut you off fast.
“I need to talk to you first.” you made some signs to Tris and Christina telling them to leave, they smiled at you reassuringly and left.
As soon as the two of you were alone your body tensed.
“Where did you learn to do that ?” he asked you.
“I read about it” you said.
“You are bleeding, I’m taking you to the infirmary.” he said.
“I’m not...” You started to say but then noticed the taste of blood in your mouth.
“You shouldn’t be friends with that boy” he said.
“Why would you say that?”
“He isn’t going to be happy when he wakes up. He needs to be the first one, and everything which represents a threat will be destroyed by him if he has the chance.
“Well I need to be sure he actually gets mad”
“You just knocked him out, he is definitely going to be mad.” He said.
“What if he isn’t?” you said just as your teeth scratched a cut on your lip and you let out a groan.
Eric turned around and held your chin firmly, yet gently, you almost felt like he cared. Almost.
“Well he managed to get you pretty injured before he passed out. And what you just said show a part of you still belongs to Amity. You need to see the good in people. and you aren’t going to find it here.” he said as he ran his thumb along one of your wounds.
“I’d never go back to Amity, and if people don’t even have the chance to show who they are we’d never do anything because it would change nothing. There’s evil in us, most of us are evil but if we don’t give value to kindness or goodness it will eventually disappear.”
“Maybe there’s no kindness to save anymore” he replied as he started walking again.
“Maybe there’s never been any kindness to save” you said as you started walking too. You finally reached the nursery and after one of the nurses healed your cuts you saw Eric leaning on the doorframe.
“You are staying until he wakes up right?” he asked.
“He should wake up already so it’s no big deal, probably he is just sleeping due to the exhaustment”
“Well congratulations for that move, the fight was pretty amazing although you probably won’t pass the second fight.” he said as he turned around and left.
He was pushing you further, and you wouldn’t break.
