Okie dokie, a little more Fihr before I get back to it, then!
I had a doodle of Fihr lying around and figured I could throw some colors on her for this, so here we go!
-For anyone still confused about Fihr’s gender, she’s female. A Good Gorl uwu Also while I’m at it, Fihr’s name is pronounced “Feh-r”, with the “R” rolled.
-If you’re unfamiliar with Fihr in general, here’s some headcanon posts if you’d like to get to know about her! One, Two, Three
-The scar down the side of her face and her missing eye was the result of her attempt at protecting Ganondorf and his parents from their assailants before Ganon was kidnapped and his parents murdered. This failure haunts her even to this day, and if she sleeps she usually has nightmares reliving it.
-Fihr is very protective of Ganondorf and his mother in the current timeline now because of it. She lost them once, she refuses to lose them again. But that in turn has made her overprotective; Fihr barely let Ganondorf go off anywhere alone without shadowing him, a habit she has a hard time breaking even with him as an adult.
-For as much as Fihr is still very much a dog, she is also still a Darknut. And as a Darknut, Fihr is a very skilled and terrifying warrior with just about any sword, but her preference runs towards greatswords. Around the time Ganondorf begins his training with Urbosa, I’d imagine Fihr helps by sometimes being his sparring partner. She was very hesitant at first about it, terrified of the prospect of possibly hurting the boy, but she eventually relents. Even still, she never unleashes the full capacity of her skill on him.
-As a Darknut, Fihr has no need for sleeping or eating, though she’s completely capable of both. Fihr, while on her search for her young master, didn’t bother with either. The first time she eats in several centuries is when Ganondorf’s mother gives her a simple bowl of beef stew: it may not be all that unique to anyone else but to Fihr, it was life-changing. She’s very enthusiastic about food now and treats anything she eats as a new wonder to discover, but she’s particularly reverent to Ganondorf’s mother’s cooking. A lot of food tastes good, but only hers tastes like home.
-In contrast, though, Fihr isn’t too fond of sleeping. She’s tried a few times since finding home once more, but nearly every attempt resulted in a nightmare: it doesn’t help that the original assault all those centuries ago happened at night when the family was asleep, and she has a fear of something similar happening again. So she opts to remain awake, preferring to sit on the roof of their home and keeping a nightly watch over her family.
And there we have it! Just some quick headcanons for the goodest monster doggo. uwu
