Who knew?
Turns out that copying more, smaller files takes a lot longer than copying fewer, bigger files.
(I have 336gb of video files, and they are done. But I have 8.6gb of documents, and they are STILL copying.
Hover - the 366gb of video files is only 17,000 files, where as the 8.6gb of documents is 92,000)
On a related note, I think I might start another secondary blog for all of this, because I am not sure any of you really care and the primary reason for starting up this blog was for fanfiction related stuff - though I admit that has expanded a little in places.
Mostly it's because OD has gone away, and while I tried somewhere else (prosebox) that is just not working out.
Anyway - the copying adventures proceed and I am now glad tomorrow is a bank holiday because it looks like I am going to need it if I am to set up the new hardware system.
