failed the marshmallow test for adults. watching new rhea seehorn interview (a whole entire hour!!!) and doing my arm strength training exercises. she reminded me i still need to buy a solid black business casual ensemble so i can start volunteer ushering. the interviewer was like "it's interesting that you watched the same plays over and over" and i'm like no it isn't, she literally said verbatim the thing that i discovered while copying her because i was so captivated by community theater stop kiss, i.e., it's Different Every Time, the actors make changes in the minutiae of their individual performances but also in how they respond *to each other*, and if you are already thinking about practical aesthetics in the abstract then watching that process on stage over several successive nights will turn the theory into practice in your body/mind even if YOU are not the one PUTTING it into practice per se. like she told you why and how it worked! and i discovered the same thing but i suck at acting so i'm just some disabled guy getting enrichment in my enclosure by the same means instead of building a career in the arts lol
