What is FILMPIXS?
FILMPIXS, a new streaming platform supporting short films and documentaries is set to launch globally today.
FILMPIXS has been curated by HF Productions, the company behind an established series of global, independent film festivals designed to champion inclusion and community for creators worldwide.The titles have been carefully vetted by HF Productions’ selection committee to ensure it offers the very best in high quality, compelling content. Through the long-standing work of the platform’s curators, HF Productions, and their partnerships with top film festivals and distribution companies, as well as global NGOs and the United Nations, FILMPIXS will shine a spotlight on social causes and champion short-form films and documentaries for a wide audience.
With an admission price of $5,99 a month or $49,99 a year (approx. 4,95€ monthly/41,25€ a year) and a free 7-day trial, the platform hosts more than 100 titles from from prestigious film festivals such as Cannes, Toronto, Berlinale, Venice and Sundance and international short film festival award winners.
The lineup features short films and documentaries such as the Czech animated short and Oscar® nominee Dcera from Daria Kascheeva and Sin Cielo, from Jianna Maarten Saada, Grand Jury Prize winner at Seattle International Film Festival, gems from Sundance, SXSW and more. The library includes a variety of titles from comedies, dramas and animated shorts to political documentaries.
From your web browser or your app, you can view a list of all films or search for specific ones by author or genre and you can have an overview with recommendations sorted by categories. Also you’re able to download films for offline viewing, a must! With new content added to the platform weekly, you'll always find something new to watch!
