I am sobbing, I just finished Filter with tan jianci and li landi, written by tong hua. The ending was so lovely and bittersweet, the message was so important--not about how perfect we looked at the end of the day but about how real we were and that we lived, with the good and bad and messy moments, creating a life that is uniquely our own. I am WEEPING. I am so moved by this sweet, uplifting, hilarious drama at this point in 2025 where beauty standards and the beauty industry is so so harsh and hard on us. I love this drama so much, it's been so long since I've been able to finish a modern Chinese drama. 10/10, would recommend!!!!

Oh, I'm so wrong. I thought tong hua was a great writer for being able to write and balance both tragedies (Lost You Forever) and comedies (Filter). Actually, Filter is actually a tragedy/horror in disguise about one man losing the one(s) he loves in all kinds of ways. So tong hua truly is a genius in being able to make me cry while laughing.

If cdrama cinema weren't cowards, we would see tang qi fall in love with quan shengtang!! This is my 1 annoyance with this drama.

Episode 8 of this drama had me cackling wheezing literally hurting from laughing so fucking hard, wtffffff, she transformed into an alpaca to break evidence while accidentally getting closure from him by hearing his deepest secrets. Im laughing and crying, this drama is quite refreshing and so fucking funny

If you're not watching Filter ft. Li landi and tan jianci, you're missing on the goofiest, silliest, hilarious sci-fi romcom of the year. The biggest gaslighting of male lead of all time, I'm wheezing

Hoping to finish Filter this week since all the episodes are out already. This drama has become one of my favorite dramas this year and actually one of my favorite modern dramas of all time. It's so wacky and funny while also tackling the question of physical beauty versus inner beauty. It's handled fairly well and I'm enjoying it so much. I wasn't watching it seriously in the beginnijg because of the secondhand embarrassment i was having but after the alpaca scene, I committed to watching and I've enjoyed it so much!! The twists and plots have been very good, i haven't slowed down in the final 4-6 episodes. I'm so excited to see how it ends.

I knew the plot would come back to address the biggest elephant in the room: the filter bracelet!! It's been glitching every now and then and, someone paranoid like me would've been terrified from day 1, but su chengcheng didn't think much of it until now. She is finally feeling the consequences/effects/glitches and has become invisible to others!! The plot is reaching the climax, just like the TV show that tang qi pointed out--which was an easter egg, featuring Lost You Forever, lmao.
