#final grades

My final grades have been posted, and I am pleased to share that I successfully maintained a perfect straight A average throughout my college career (not a single B baby). My advisor and the Dean have both extended their congratulations, and I will be graduating with highest honors (summa cum laude) on May 16th with Bachelor of Science degrees in Mathematics and Physics (Material Science).

I am sure it will be more so when I graduate than today, but I find myself emotional and awestruck looking back. My mother did so much to dissuade and discourage me verbally, emotionally, and legally. I have been called the spawn of satan, told I would fail miserably in college, and have had a number of legal battles with her concerning my trust fund. But I proved her wrong, and she has lost all her court battles.

So now I stand on the cusp of my next adventure...MORE SCHOOLING! On Monday, I start a consulting gig for the Summer. In the Fall, I start my PhD track. Now I have to decide whether to move into new PhD provided housing or to stay put in my current dorm room where I have spent the past 4 years. I am torn on that one.

I will finish up my TA hours today and it does look like I will continue as a TA next year, only with more clout!

Here are my final grades in my undergrad classes:

Applied Radiation Physics (98% - A)

Topology (98% - A)

Research in Physics III (97% - A)

Psychology (94% - A)

Nuclear and Particle Physics (97% - A)

Thanks for many of you who have followed me on here for some time, some since I started at 19 (now I am old at 22). You encouraged and stayed with me, even when the tumblr gods wrongly terminated my previous account. I am grateful for this outlet and wish only the best for all of you!

Today was another slow day. Spent most of my day organizing notes for something and working on Christmas gifts for friends (clay stand up mirrors- see picture, the name is covered tho)!

Otherwise I've been pretty unproductive aside from a shower and spending time with family but that's alright. I can feel my mood dropping a bit so I'm trying to take it easy.

Just finished up another semester of college-- hence my lengthy writing absence.

Just one more to go until graduation (and obtaining my associate degree). Then on to the next phase, whatever that may be.

I'm hoping that with this 2 week break coming up I can crank out some fics for all my lovely followers 💚 thank you for your patience, those that have stuck around.

Honors list for the second time this year though!

I finally received my last marks from my second College semester and I passed! So damn relieved. One class was torture on everyone so it was hit or miss, but I managed to make it 😁

Fall 2022 Grades

So...this was my worst semester ever. My mental health was terrible, everything was bad, and my grades reflect it.

EC-102 - Principles of Economics II - 1.5: this was a horrible, terrible class. I really thought I was going to fail and every single person who I know in the class DID fail. Our professor was awful and everything sucked. 

CAR-198 - Leadership in the Residence Hall - 4.0: This was my mandatory-RA class. It was so easy, I actually got a 100% on it. 

HST-297 - Historical Research & Methods - 4.0: I was really nervous about this class. The professor has a reputation for being a really difficult grader, especially on research papers, which is exactly what the class was. But I did it!

HST-331 - Colonial America - 3.5: I hated this class. it was so boring. The work was easy, but the final project was rough, so I ended up with a 3.5

PS-232 - Criminal Law - 3.5: This class was fine, but I’m so frustrated because I was 0.2 off from making a 4.0. It’s so upsetting. But hopefully it’s the last law class I’ll ever do.

PS-298 - Politics of Latin America - 4.0: This was one of my professor’s “specialty” classes and he is a really great guy and super passionate about the subject, but it was so so boring. So easy, but so boring. 

SP-102 - Intermediate Spanish II - 4.0: This ended up being review of all the Spanish I learned in High School. Super easy and fun. 

Unfortunately, my economics grade tanked my GPA. I ended up with a 3.41 GPA. This brought my cumulative down to 3.72. I’m planning on doing much better next semester, but this semester was awful. 

My mental health is back on track, I’m preparing myself now for next semester, and I’m ready to do better.
