Aims & Inspirations for Final Photoshoot
For my final photoshoot I have decided to further develop the ideas from my first photoshoot where I focused more on the idea of people speaking rather than my second idea where I focused on speech through words. I felt that the words presented in my second photoshoot focused more on the words & their meaning rather than the idea of words as a whole.
During a class crit of my photographs from speakers corner I was given the idea of getting closer up to my subject face really concentrating on the expression & emotion.
For this I have decided to go back to speakers corner for this shoot & get some extremely close up shots of the subjects mouth, where the speech is essentially coming from. I feel this will really enhance my idea of speaking which should be really obvious throughout the photographs from this photoshoot.
For this photoshoot I will be using my dslr Canon 100D camera while also using the manual focus & zoom to get a much closer up from of my subjects. I will also be using the suns natural source of lighting to highlight my photographs & will be adjusting the ISO & aperture setting to create the right light sensitivity.
I will be staying with the black & white theme to link back with my first & second photoshoots & to also allow for the tones & values of shadows to be more detailed.
I have researched many photographers & artists & I have chosen to take inspiration from the photographer Walker Evans as I found the way he captured the emotion & expression of the subjects face using a direct approach without using any distorted angles from the vantage point, focusing straight forwardly to the subject.
