why do the ideas flow better when I’m writing my first draft on paper? I get my drafts done a thousand times faster when I handwrite them first. otherwise, I’m just sitting there staring at my computer screen while my brain focuses on anything BUT my plot
it’s literally like-
me: okay let’s sit down and start working on the next part of the story since we’re finally in the mood to write
brain: okay word let’s go
me: *fires up my laptop*
brain: …oh…you meant like that? 🤢
me: yeah, it’s fun. we love using technology
brain: mmm. no. i’m shutting down now 👋
me: fine. how about this? *pulls out notebook and pencil and starts writing that way instead*
brain: oh? yes. this is nice! i like this! as thanks, here’s an overwhelming amount of ideas to implement :)
I mean, whatever works, I guess, but I wanted to save my notebooks for next semester lol
