I personally feel it’s cruel of the writers to do that to fans because YOU DON’T JUST ERASE 3 YEARS OF CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT you just don’t. To me it would feel like they just wasted 3 years of my life. But that is just my personal opinion.
Oh I feel you, I firmly believe he is home, but trust me when I say that I HATE the fact that everything has been erased. I still have hope that something will happen to make things change, memories come back, especially when it comes to Olivia and Walter obviously.
But seriously, like others said, we've already been in this "new verse" for 10 episodes after tonight. If you ask me, if this is really a new universe and suddenly after half a season, it goes away when Peter goes home, then it's a very weird move from the writers, too. Last year when they introduced the red!verse, they made sure we still got to see our Olivia every other episode. I think they're not doing it this time because Olivia is Olivia, simply without any recollection of Peter and slightly different because of how her life has been.
I could ramble about this for hours lol.
But the writers are cruel. That's why I think Peter's home.
