Character Development Questions
#4; Do they have any verbal tics? Do they have trouble pronouncing certain words or getting their thoughts across clearly?
At nine years old, he was hurt while outside Trost, playing games with a few other boys. Getting into little scuffles to see who was tougher. Shoved into the ground too roughly when two of the boys ganged up on him, resulting in a broken jaw. A doctor tended to it, insisting he'd heal fine, but a month down the line his mother noticed a struggle with speaking, his jaw having not set properly. Jean began to slur his words together or leave off syllables completely, as it was difficult to get his mouth to form the words properly as he had before.
She helped him with his speech, mainly with practicing enunciating his words properly, up until he left for training. It's only noticeable when he gets worked up, angry or embarrassed, forgetting to focus on speaking clearly. Which usually just frustrates him more.
#23; Do they prefer romance or affection? What is the quickest way to your character’s heart?
Though Jean himself can be romantic with those he feels strongly for. He prefers small affections better in return as he gives. Those small gestures are a sure way to win him over. As is honesty. Even if it means telling him something he will hate hearing. It shows a strength and will that he admires.
