So, currently my hair is straight (professionally by my mom's hairstylist). But I'm dreading reverting back to my curly tress because of the split ends and tangled knots I get. (UGH! Natural hair problems) So I said I would post my regime in a recentish post. So here's something I'm adding to it:
Why? My hairstylist had THE WORST time getting my hair from knotted for some reason. I thought it was my bad case of split ends as the big problem and he told me to invest in detangling spray. My issue? I'm on a budget.
I mix it all together in the order (1-2-3-Optional) by the way. I'll type a new post with my full-new regime in like 10 minutes. This is for you naturals out there that have bad split ends and tangling issues like me. I have 3A/3C naturally curly hair that is shoulder length when straight. When curly? I have no clue yet. Will update. It's 3C in the back and 3A/frizzy everywhere else. Sooo..here's what I just did:
1.) A spray bottle of your choice. I have one from the dollar general that costs $1 and is see-through, pink.
2.) Any conditioner of your choice (I used Suave Naturals Sweet Pea and Violet because it has a really nice smell, keeps my hair soft after co-washing, and it's a moisturizer)
3.) 1 cup of Hot water (not boiling) to prevent clumps in the bottle you will use. (It will be a water based mixture, no clumps)
Optional: Essential oil of your choosing (I chose Olive Oil because it's good with strengthening hair, which is what I need to prevent so many split ends and problems after untangling)
Spray it on your hair as needed. I'll be focusing more on my ends than anything else to prevent that buildup in my scalp. I won't wash it out either. I'll probably experiment on both dry and wet hair to see which works best. I'll also seal with Organic Root Stimulator: Coconut Oil.
