Just popping in to let you know that your funny grass background noticeably bended and creased multiple times while you were using it.
Why pull this bit at all? I know I definitely wouldn't have cared about the lab. Nor I imagine many others. Biology is cool. I would know, I study it too.
UGH, I need to push it back more so I stop hitting it...
Also, I'm trying to get people to live here. This isn't a 'bit' I pulled just for you guys. You're not special. Who's gonna trust the big-eared mew with anger issues, huh? Especially one that likes human stuff. I'm trying to be good around other people. Everyone that lives here thinks I'm like that all the time. You guys are just so annoying... Made me lose my cool...
How does the separation of mike and host work? do they separate only during the secret boss route, or is it an unavoidable event? also, how would the fight against mike (at the end of the chapter) work without host being there?
Mike and Host's separation is an event that will always happen no matter what route takes place! It's only ever so slightly different in the Voltrage (This AU's version of Snowgrave) route, but I guess it's a form of Canon Event for them LOL
But yeah, in the regular routes, Host goes MIA at some point in the chapter, I feel there are some quests that can trigger the encounter with them, like some form of backtracking or something of the sort??? But I haven't developed that part as much yet, though I have been brainstorming it a lot lately
If not fought, Host still won't make it to Castle Town and interacting with Mike there will get him questioning whether the Fun Gang left them behind or something.
Regarding a battle at the end, I keep not seeing M&H as final boss material. They are antagonists, but they feel like the type to get other darkners to fight for them?? I do feel there's some form of battle with M&H in the middle, but not at the end.
I'm still a bit fuzzy on the details of the end fight. Maybe a collaboration with all the minor antagonists at the end?? Like Klieg and some others I haven't drawn/posted yet, working together to stop the kids! But uh oh! They can't stop them because a lot of them are attached to the kids now!!
But yeah, M&H want to keep the fountain up, but with Host being MIA, and Mike being very much NOT a fighter, it does leave me with a lot to think about. I feel it must be a bit disappointing, but the concepts I have for Mike and Host's bullet patterns are very much not final boss material xD While Omega Host is :)
I have considered having Omega Host as a regular final boss instead and just getting some other character to be a secret boss instead but ehhhh the lore is too developed at this point to be changing that. Their motivations already had to be adjusted once to accommodate Tenna's introduction so it's a big hassle to change it a second time.
I feel like I should just write these things down at some point LOL
Uhhh how is Rox doing over there?
Arc end.
Uhhh Ying's energy was going absolutely haywire. I think they might be possessed or something.
Alright ignore what I said before, restrain this guy before he hurts himself trying to attack you.
"SCOTT!"
"EEK!"
"What do you know about shadow Pokemon?!"
"Sh... shadow Pokemon? I assume you don't mean the phenomenon happening in Ferrum... Firstly, uh, I don't think you should restrain them. The most important thing to do is to calm them down- and that would freak them out more."
"Wait, why?"
"YING'S LOST IT!"
"Gah!! My house- My POKEMON!"
STOP!
... So to summarize, these guys have been stuck in conservation purgatory of the last few years.
I feel like this misunderstanding could have been solved a lot sooner but I'm not sure how. Also someone should probably tell them... something idk This whole situation is bizarre on so many levels
"Eh, at least it's over, right? I'm just happy to see them all so relaxed... this is a great improvement over the last two times I've seen these guys."
"They're all relaxed... in my house!! This is amazing! Maybe I can win them over after all!"
