Samsung says fingerprint security fix is coming as early as next week
Earlier this week Samsung confirmed that an issue regarding screen protectors allowed some of its flagship devices to be bypassed with any fingerprint. Now, the company has said it will fix the problem in a patch which may come as soon as next week.
The issue affects Samsung’s flagship phone, the Galaxy S10, as well as the Note 10. When certain third-party screen protectors are installed on the…

But they can’t make you cough up your passcode.
I didn’t know this. I recently upgraded to an iPhone 6 and found the fingerprint log-in convenient and secure. I wonder why the Fifth Amendment protections don’t apply.
If you ever get arrested, the only thing you should say before “I want my attorney” is “I do not consent to a search of my phone”. Then silence.
You don’t have to have anything to hide or be a criminal to go to jail. Just being in the wrong place at the wrong time or encountering the wrong cop can be enough.
UPDATE: After a little research I ran across a good hack. Nothing says you have to reveal which finger you use, and after 5 incorrect attempts the iPhone locks and can only be opened by the passcode. You know what to do...
Fingerprint based security system can be used at many places like Industries, Offices, and Colleges or even at our home. It is also called as Biometric sensor. User has to place his/her finger on the optical sensor part of fingerprint module.
Warning: Fingerprint security is risky You may be using your fingerprint to secure your smartphone, or access to sensitive information, but don't be fooled...

Here's a Future Prediction...
Let's see if this comes true at some point.
I've been around on the internet long enough to see many changes. Some good, some bad. Some necessary, others unnecessary.
Just to give you some contrast remember Myspace? Well, it didn't require your REAL NAME to be on it. Facebook does.
Not a huge fan of facebook considering how many times it has crossed the line in regards to it's users privacy and security. All that together makes potential for both good and bad abuses.
Having little trust in fb, I opted-out of using their services to connect with others. I stand on the side of anonymity and opt-out of anything that requires me to submit to disclosing myself. I value my privacy and security and I think that you should too!
Niche dating sites are all the buzz with Tinder-esque, swipe left, swipe right features.
Facebook itself is not a dating site but does contain the most active social monthly users.
Many websites are beginning to adopt the 'Facebook' or 'G+' social login. The benefit of this is having one login across all spectrum of websites that use those login services.
The disadvantage to this is that all your social media 'meta-data' and 'data' (those are two different forms of data) are tracked while centralized to one source. YOU!
The prediction here is that It wouldn't be too far off to say, that soon new dating sites and apps will go beyond the social login feature and require submission of your fingerprint for entry. This will be their #1 selling feature.
Now there could be benefits to this and then again there could be a disadvantages as well.
What are your thoughts about this?

I got an iPhone5s today! Early Christmas Present
Had to get it early because the screen died today on my old one
I love the fingerprint security! Very impressed :)
