Dear whoever writes the problems in my math homework,
"I sure do love finding out there is no optimal solution to a two-phase simplex method problem when I am four or five pivots deep in it" SAID NOBODY EVER and yes I do know for a fact that there is no optimal solution because MyLab Math tells you right up front if you are right or wrong and it just went "Fantastic!" at me about this and I gave it both middle fingers. If you're going to give us a problem for which the correct answer is "there is no optimal solution" then could you have the basic fucking decency to make that apparent on like the first or second pivot? Please!?
I have been running through this maze for half an hour and I could smell the piece of cheese at the exit and just as I turned that last corner you took the cheese away. I WANT MY FUCKING CHEESE.
finite math is fun when it clicks but it kind of just doesnt for me cuz most of the resourcrs i have for learbing it are kind of hard to use
the textbook explains like nothing and gives a bunch of sample problems, prof just does example problems instead of explaining,
tutors in the after-class math lab literally cant do finite, im too broke to afford professional tutor,
internet answers are all either wrong or locked behind a stupid subscriotion, like.
what do i even do here!! i NEED to learn this math!!!
So it’s your freshman year at Indiana University. Maybe you’ve successfully avoided the freshman 15 with enough visits to the SRSC. Maybe your random roommate has turned into your best friend. But don’t be fooled, the biggest challenge is still waiting: MATH-M118 Finite Mathematics. GO WHERE NO IU FRESHMAN HAS EVER GONE BEFORE AND ACTUALLY EARN THAT A IN FINITE MATH.
How to Adult: College Edition
Alright, I’m going to pass down some wisdom.
DO NOT TAKE MATH CLASSES A YEAR APART.
I took Finite Math after continuously taking math classes since I have been in school. I passed all of my math classes with an A or a B and I comprehended everything. I failed Finite. Due to shame I decided to not take it until I HAD to. It has been a year. I am taking a sped up summer class for Finite. I am having problems remembering how to graph lines and plot points. I am also having to take the summer class because without Finite I will be set back a whole semester to being able to graduate.
REMEMBER: keep taking math classes until you no longer need math classes. Also don't wait to take a class. Failure of a class doesn't make YOU a failure.

stuck around campus for a few extra hours to work on some math. i've been watching youtube videos to help me learn the material because the methods being used by my prof in our lectures don't make sense, and i'm excited to say that it's finally starting to click! for once in my near 21 years, i kind of understand this junk.
ps. the marble notebook is my new bullet journal! i've been testing out a bunch of formats and pages, hopefully by next month i'll be able to post my official setup :) hope everyone's had a good start to the week!
