It couldn't have been a more shittier day for this than it was to begin with, fall was slowly fading into winter and the gallons of water from above made it pretty clear for everyone, that you should stay inside. Everything looked dead and grey, even thought this specific place always had a dull taint to it in the angel's memory.
°I's... Just don't wanna be here alright? It gives me's the chills for REASONS.° - "It's no wonder really. But the main reason isn't one anymore and in the end... It's all ours now y'know?"
Wilhelm let his hand hit the iron gate, which had been locked with a heavy chain, which gave off a metallic rattling sound under the impact. Twitch gave his brother an unusual, uncheerful growl looking through the gaps in the gate; there it was, the legacy their "producer" had left them.
Some would say it was cruel, referring to your father like this, but both more than just aggred on this term mentioning him in the few occasions that occurred.
"Say what you want, but this place has a lot of character to it... And now without the unpleasant part FINALLY kicking the bucket, it's just an old abandoned house." - °...filled with oh so MANY good and joyful memories or what? You's don't need to sell me this place, since I's just want to get this over with and go back to my loving home, Will.° - "Alright, alright... Lemme just open this damn gate."
The older one shook his head as he fixed his umbrella between his neck and shoulder to search for the keys in his pocket to get rid of the heavy lock, unlocking it after some trouble because of the rust that had done more than just a bit of damage on it.
With loud squeaking, the gate swung open and the two of them made their way through the front garden, which had seen better days for sure, but non of them could remember, when this time should have been. The way leading to the front door, was paved with single stepping rocks, which have been overgrown by grass and moss at this point, making the way more slippery than intended.
The blonde stopped in front of the porch and looked up the dark wooden facade. He couldn't help but to let a little grin form on his face, which in this case, dripped of sarcasm: °Oh look it's the murder house... Yeah...° he joked to himself, letting a weak laugh leave his lips as he is ripped out of the thought by his brother's more than intended coughing: "Are you coming or what?" the dark haired one clicked his tongue before, searching once more for the right key for the heavy wooden door in front of him.
With a creaking sound he managed to push the front door open, revealing an as dark inside. Everything was either made out of dark wood or painted in a dark color. Fitting enough to call it the house of the former king of hell but as unfitting for any creature of light, being brave enough to enter.
"...At least the roof seems to be alright and nothing is rotting... That's the only thing I give this asshole, he sure got a nice taste for interior design. From a demon point of view it is - you on the other hand, stick out like a sore thumb here, baby bro." - °oh no... almost like an angel shouldn't put a single toe into this DAMN cursed house in the first place?° Twitch sounded way to bitter for his older brothers standards of his younger counterpart, letting him know this, by pulling up his eyebrows in a surprised manner: "...I am sorry I didn't mean it that way." - °Yeah right...°
After some awkward silence between the two brother, they decided to go look around the place separately. Wilhelm was most interested into the old books and files, he could find and claim in the old library of the house. He had always been a secret bookworm, teaching himself some older languages all by himself by simply devouring the scriptures in the ancient collection of his father's.
Twitch on the other hand settled with just roaming the empty halls with no real goal or urge to search for something in specific. He was more than just busy, trying not to freak out, remembering everything that had happened here, especially after his mother's passing. The blonde held on to the silver pendant between his rosaries, to calm himself as he stopped infront of a big picture frame, which was covered with a big white clothe, probably to secure it from the dusk ruining the picture underneath.
The angel took some deep breaths before, pulling by the cover, letting it slide on the ground and blowing up some dust into their air, making him cough in the process.
As soon as the dust settled, he took a step back, almost like he got scared that the face looking back at him in the moment, was about to talk back to him at any moment: °...Lucius...° the blonde mumbled to himself, his lips pressed together in a stressed manner.
The picture showed the whole family - at least the last state you could call this a family to begin with.
There was the "head" of the family, a black-haired man in suit and tie with a polite but cold grin, Lucius Fink.
He had a hand lowered on a young Wilhelm's shoulder, standing right in front of him, luckily the similarities were only and outside thing, even thought the older one didn't like being reminded about that.
Right beside the two demons, stood a chair, with a blonde woman sitting in it, she had a more gentle look in her face overall and was wearing a dark red dress: °Mom...° Twitch lifted up his hand to place some fingers on the painting onto the spot where Sally was, at least he had found something not as depressing in this place.
Looking further he also noticed a much younger version of himself, sitting in his mother's lap, with a wide smile - oh if things just could have stayed that peaceful.
