Giants Causeway
This really blew me away at how awesome nature is. Giants Causeway is a UNESCO world heritage site and was formed millions of years ago by volcanic lava cooling. I’m still not sure how it gets the hexagonal pattern but it’s in a few places around the world apparently. We took the red route which was the steep difficult one but were most definitely rewarded with an amazing view. Our bus driver told the legend of the Irish giant Finn mac Cool and the Scottish giant Benandonner. Finn was challenged Tina fight by Benandonner so he built a causeway to reach Scotland so he could go and attack him. When he got there Finn saw he was way undermatched and ran back over the causeway shivering in fear as Benandonner was much bigger than him. Finns wife had a plan and got him super drunk so he passed out and then she dressed him in a baby outfit and bonnet and put him in a cradle. When Benandonner comes over the causeway looking for Finn, his wife says he’s out getting ready for the fight and only the baby is there asleep. When he sees how huge this baby is, he runs away breaking the causeway behind him so Finn Mac Cool can’t chase him 🤓
