Luna stood there in her little pink dress, looking like a child of the moon with her tumble of silvery blond hair and those striking pale grey eyes. But that alone wasn't what made her look like something not of this world. It was how completely oblivious she was to everyone around her. Tonight was meant to be her big night, the unveiling of her latest masterpiece to the public. Fancy hors d'oeuvres, elegant decorations, and patrons dressed to the nines. All for her and her painting. But she didn't pay it any mind. She just stared up at the gorgeous painting that adorned the wall, taking up most of the space. In it sat a young wheelchair bound boy, with a copy of 'Treasure Island' open on his lap as he stared longingly out the window at the sea.
Luna smiled at the painting, a soft smile that made her face glow with the smallest curve of her lips. "Don't worry Jonas. Tonight you'll get to meet lots of new people. Maybe even some pirates. See? Just because you're in that chair doesn't mean you can't see the world. You can make lots of friends tonight, and then next week we can go somewhere even more exciting, and then somewhere else after that. You'll find the adventure you're looking for. Just don't stop searching."
