Ben 10 AU

One night during a camp Tadashi had with Hiro, he gained a watch which was left by someone. It was a cool looking watch so he decided to take it with him. When he was home, the watch attached itself unto his left arm and won’t come off.

Fast forward to the fire, He transformed into a Pyronite after getting inside the building(Ben’s Heatblast) and extinguished the fire all the while finding Professor Callaghan. To his surprise he saw the professor put on Hiro’s neuro transmitter then the microbots surrounded him, forming a sphere. A second later an explosion took place. Seeing that his professor was the cause of the fire and stole his brother’s invention, he decided to go back outside but the exits were blocked. He decided to extinguish the fire to a more manageable level then go back out.

Unfortunately, by the time he was out of the building, Hiro had been rendered unconscious thinking that he was dead.

(And what’s worse, Tadashi can’t control when the watch runs out and turns him back, right? I mean, I’m pretty sure Bed has the opposite problem in the show, where it keeps running out too soon, but what if it wasn’t wearing off fast enough for Tadashi? And the last thing Hiro sees before he passes out is this demon-like fire creature coming towards him. He has nightmares about it for weeks.

And then the cops show up, and Tadashi knows he can’t stick around looking like he does. So he panics and runs, not realizing how much of a headache this will cause him later. Because afterward if he shows up somehow miraculously unharmed, everyone will wonder why he didn’t reveal himself sooner. And considering the police are pretty sure the fire was a case of arson, and Tadashi seemed to be involved in the fire somehow, he might just find himself a suspect...

Au when both Tadashi and Hiro are different humanoid alien species found and adopted by Mama and Papa Hamada. Hiro has psychic abilities like telekinesis and Tadashi has fire and heat based abilities. However they were raised as humans so their abilities manifest much later.

Tadashi was old enough to know that he and Hiro weren’t quite human, but Hiro was so little he never really noticed that there was anything different between himself and the humans that took him in. Still the Hamada parents made sure to tell Tadashi over and over that they could not tell anyone about what they were or what they could do. And Tadashi listened

When their parents died and Aunt Cass took them in, Tadashi remembered his adoptive parents’ words, and told her nothing. Hiro had all but forgotten their extraterrestrial origins, so there was no risk of him saying anything, and their powers hadn’t kicked in yet, so Aunt Cass doesn’t know. Tadashi doesn’t even tell the rest of the SFIT crew.

The only other one who knows is Baymax, and that’s because Tadashi scans differently than a human. But Tadashi makes sure to program Baymax to keep his secrets right from the start, so the robot tells no one.

Tadashi’s powers manifest in the middle of the fire, allowing him to survive, but he doesn’t know what to do with himself after that. If he reveals that he’s alive, people will wonder why he’s unharmed, and those questions might dig up answers he’s been hiding since he was a child. But Hiro is so upset, and thanks to his secrecy programming, Baymax can’t even tell Hiro that he’s alive. All he can manage is “Tadashi is here”

But when Hiro starts manifesting his own powers during the fight with Callaghan at KreiTech, Tadashi knows he can’t stay hidden anymore. Hiro has no idea what’s happening to him, and the only person with the answers he needs is Tadashi. So Tadashi waits until they get home after the fight, and reveals himself.

Hiro does not take the news well. On the one hand, he’s furious Tadashi hid from them for so long. On the other hand, he’s already felt like a freak all his life, now he knows he really is one? And what will his new friends think of him?

Tadashi winces, because honestly he’s a bit worried about that too.

But to the brothers’ shock, their friends are honestly offended that they thought that they’d turn on the Hamadas just because they’re a little weird. I mean really, they hang out with Fred.

GoGo punches them on the shoulder, Honey Lemon tuts fretfully, Wasabi rolls his eyes, and Fred just complains that they kept such an awesome secret from him for so long. They don’t care one bit.

Meanwhile Baymax is standing nearby feeling very happy because his patients are all here together and safe and he doesn’t have to protect any more secrets

Ghost Rider AU?....But that makes me wonder as to the 'who' would be the rider. Tadashi? Gogo?

I’m gonna go with Tadashi, but just because I have this hilarious mental image of him going the whole Ghost Rider route, complete with flaming skull and hellfire blasts and associations with demons and such...

...but he’s still riding around on his scooter.

Because he was never a stunt rider, it’s the only pair of wheels he’s got, and so he has to make do and chase down evil while hunched over his scooter’s handlebars, driving at 30 mph max, with this look of intense concentration on his...flaming...skull...face. Yeah.

Frozen AU: It's still in modern day San Fransokyo, but it still follows the basic story of Frozen. Tadashi has had fire powers since birth. He hid them after hitting Hiro one night. He's the one that caused the fire at the showcase. Hope you like it

Tadashi of course had probably been doing his best to hold in his powers during the showcase, because after so long of hiding his powers and generally being not as close with Hiro as he should have been, he was probably pretty determined to be there at the showcase for Hiro. 

Of course, the fire starts after Hiro is approached by Krei and Callaghan. Hiro admits afterwards to Tadashi that maybe he should have taken Krei’s deal, and they get into an argument that results in flames accidentally bursting to life around Tadashi’s hands. He’s too close to the stage, and the carpet of the stage catches fire easily. Everything after that goes up in smoke.

Thankfully, everyone manages to get out alright this time, but Tadashi is left standing there, covered in ash and breathing heavily, staring at Hiro after they both got out of the Expo building. Because while inside, Hiro had flinched away from Tadashi when Tadashi had tried to grab him to help him out. Had flinched.

So Tadashi, looking at all the damage he has caused, at how he’s hurt his little brother again - not only in setting Hiro’s microbots ablaze (all Hiro’s hard work. Gone) but in also burning and getting Hiro stuck in a fire - flees. He runs, and his friends and Hiro lose him in the maze of a city that is San Fransokyo. But Hiro needs to talk to his brother, they need to talk about Tadashi’s fire abilities and how he’d kept them a secret. And Hiro also knows that Tadashi needs him as much as he needs Tadashi. But how are they gonna catch someone with fire powers who’s who knows where?! They give themselves their own powers of course. *cue Immortals* 

Meanwhile, Tadashi is probably singing and dancing over on Akuma Island, using the abandoned building where the Silent Sparrow was housed and its probably fire-proof walls to work his magic with it and make it his cool new home.

ok but. birbdashi au the hamadas lose tadashi for like hours at a time during the day because they let him just fly around and do stuff as he pleases? but he like starts bringing home presents like coins and little trinkets so there's a family collection and he basically hoards them in his little nest!!

At first they think it’s just him making a joke at his own expense. Like “tee-hee, hey guys I’m a bird look at me do bird stuff like collecting shiny stuff, ha-ha, what a cheeky jester am I?”

But then he brings home someone’s car keys, and they realize ‘whoops, no this is not him playing a game he legitimately has the bird instinct to collect shiny things’. Aunt Cass has to bring the keys to the police station, claiming she found them even though she has no idea where Tadashi got them from. Meanwhile Hiro is stuck training Tadashi out of his sparkle-hunting urges.

It involves a lot of sprays from a spray bottle and angry birb screeching. Training is not going well.

AU where Tadashi makes it out of the fire but the event made Hiro a little bit paranoid about his bro's safety. So OBVIOUSLY Hiro's solution is to make an experimental mixture to make Tadashi fireproof and secretly inject him with it. But it turns out the chemicals gave Tadashi fire related superpowers instead. When Tadashi finds out, he's of course angry with Hiro. (1/2)

He's like, "you messed with my body chemistry while i was sleeping?!" to which Hiro is like "YOU sewed tracking devices into ALL OF MY CLOTHES." And then they can't really hold anything against each other without being hypocrites. Meanwhile everyone else rolls their eyes at the palpable brocon

Sorry Hiro, but chemically modifying your brother’s biological make-up permanently is sliiiiightly more creepy than trackers. Just a wee bit.

Still, that’s gotta be the crackiest way I’ve ever seen someone do a Fire!Tadashi AU. And also the happiest. No existential angst or isolating himself from the world because he’s afraid of his powers. Just good old-fashioned brotherly fighting that ends in Hiro getting punched in the shoulder. Because yeah, Tadashi’s pissed that Hiro would do something so stupid, but he also secretly gets it. The fire scared him too.

Of course then they have to figure out how to work Tadashi’s powers. Meanwhile Honey Lemon is looking over Hiro’s notes on his scientific process for making the serum and trying to reverse engineer an antidote. Because fire powers are cool in theory, not so much in practice.

(Hiro doesn’t care though, because practicing with Tadashi means he gets to spend more time with his brother. And more importantly, keep an eye on him and make sure he doesn’t do anything stupid like run into a burning building again)

Less sad Sunfire AU! There was an experiment that the Hamada parents were working on, involving genetic engineering and an odd substance that could be biologically produced and basically did magic. They defected from the project after a while, taking home a modified kid (Tadashi). Then, about eight years later, they adopted Hiro. (He was two. ) Tadashi never gets his tongue scalded from hot soup, but that seems to be the only effect. Then he runs into the fire and isn't burned. (1)

He's found when firefighters search the wreckage, pinned under a beam, bleeding, with broken legs. He's also experimenting with making tiny little sparks come from his fingertips. He's hospitalised for a little while, and by the time he comes home he can make a tiny little flame just big enough to roast one marshmallow. That's how he practices: roasting marshmallows (or just heating things up without fire, which he can also do. )

Thus we discover the best superpower ever. Being able to heat up your tea after you’ve forgotten it on the counter for twenty minutes. *weeps with joy*

But oh man, that would be pretty cool. I imagine Hiro would freak when he finds out though (He may have a slight phobia of fire after the SFIT incident). But then, once he’s calmed down, he’d have all sorts of questions for Tadashi.

“So mom and dad were magic?”

“No, I’m pretty sure they weren’t.”

“Were they secretly mutants?”

“Nope”

“Were they aliens?”

“No!”

“Aw, come on, Tadashi! Was my adoption really a secret alien abduction?”

“Mom and dad weren’t aliens!”

“You’re an aaaalien!”

“Hiro!”

*cue Tadashi chasing Hiro all over the house while Hiro runs away cackling and calling him ET*

IDC but Phoenix Tadashi can morph into a human and back... basically to bail Hiro out of trouble as the Phoenix and then berate him in his human form!.

Goodness, that would certainly make things easier for Tadashi. But oh man, then they realize that Tadashi’s basically a superhero, so they (and by they I mean Fred) help him develop a superhero persona so he can fight crime and protect people.

And what do you know, the codename Phoenix is already taken (*Fred shakes his fist in Jean Grey’s general direction*), so they end up calling him Sunfire.
