The Flame

Based on 2 ideas. I wanted to illustrate April in a way that shows off her beauty. Since it's nearly fall, I gave her a more fancy and autumnal dress and a hairpin!

Secondly, I was playing around with the idea of elemental sprites! They're summoned by strong emotion. Friendly sprites are those summoned by positive emotions and can be commanded to help out with various tasks. 'Feral' sprites are summoned with incredibly dark/negative emotions and work in packs to attack those around them

She was made of ink and flame. Red lips, burnt parchment, flickering spells. Every word she wrote smelled like smoke and citrus— sweet, sharp, and a little dangerous.
