I am SO proud of this painting!

I’ve had it half done in my backlog since 2023, and I finally decided to finish it last month!

I wanted to paint a little adventurous fairy meeting a curious mermaid. The reflecting light from the water is my favorite part of the whole thing I think =)

Also a snippet of the design process. I like to keep it quick and a little messy so I can quickly get my thoughts onto the page before my brain decides to yeet them into the abyss of forgetting 😂

I don’t do this very often anymore, but I should pick it back up again! Sketching physically is such a joy, and so is coloring digitally with all the colors at your fingertips… So combining the two is just the best of both worlds 💕
