Cast + Crew X HTTYD 2
Deuce Demaris - Scauldron
Patient and organized strategists by nature, Scauldrons are one of the few dragons known to prey on other dragons. Scauldrons hunt in groups, or pods, and have picked-off smaller species to near-extinction. Although a Scauldron has never been seen to shoot flames, the few Vikings who have survived encounters with the fearsome sea dragons have reported smelling traces of the signature flammable gas that precedes a dragon fire strike. Instead, Scauldrons scoop up water in their gullets (like pelicans), then boil it internally and shoot the boiling-hot water out again. With its long neck, the Scauldron has a long firing range and can blast an entire ship in a matter of seconds. Being ocean-based, the Scauldron will not typically attack on land. In fact, if a Scauldron is out of water for too long, its body will dry out and eventually perish, unless it is returned to the sea before it's too late. Despite their dreadful reputation, Scauldrons actually possess a secret, healing ability: their venom is the only known antidote to the rare Dragon Flower, whose pollen can prove harmful - even fatal - to all dragons!
Darlene Cunningham - Death Song
Beautiful as a sunrise and as brutal as a Berserker, the Death Song is a notoriously hypnotic species of dragons. It does not breathe fire, but spits a sticky amber-like substance to trap its victims. We encourage any student confronting this Mystery Class dragon to tread lightly, for the Death Song is as wild as a typhoon! With their vibrant scales, frills, and enchanting call, it’s easy to become entranced by Death Songs, but beware! Beneath this resplendent exterior lies an invasive and cannibalistic species. They use their song to lure dragons to them, only to trap them in an amber cocoon. There are only a few creatures with the ability to face a Death Song unscathed. Thunderdrums are immune to the Death Song's call because they have poor hearing!
Jessamina Ermine - Hobblegrunt
More sensitive than most other Stoker Class Dragons, it changes color depending on its mood: Yellow means happy, purple means curious, and red means... RUN! The Hobblegrunt will take on anything its opponent dishes out in combat, and then will dish it right back!
Jisung Park - Timberjack
Native to dense, wooded area, Timberjacks are acutely sensitive creatures that prefer the peace and solace found in their beloved forests. But don't let their introspective demeanor fool you. When attacked, betrayed or offended, Timberjacks will start flailing their expansive wings, whose edges are razor-sharp — sharp enough to shear through the thickest tree trunk and still not slow down a Timberjack's flight. Those huge wings do more than just chop trees. On the ground, Timberjacks also have the ability to fold their wings around weary riders like a makeshift tent, offering warmth and protection from the elements and other dragons!
Kane Enright - Fire Fury
Fire Furies can breathe balls or streams of fire that appear to make explosions once they reach the end of their range. The fire is likely very hot. The more Fire Furies that contribute to the blast, the more powerful it will be. When multiple Fire Furies contribute to the blast, it creates a orange and magenta explosion that creates a ring of orange fire and orange to white sparks, like fireworks.
Emmaline Ellis - Hideous Zippleback
The Hideous Zippleback is classified as a member of the Mystery Class in the Journal of Dragons. These dragons possess a unique method of attack: one head produces a thick green gas, while the other one produces sparks to light it on fire. Any Viking facing off against a Hideous Zippleback should also make sure to not breathe in the gas: It can easily disorient you! This species of dragons can also use the gas produced by one head to obscure itself from view. This makes it easier for the Hideous Zippleback to sneak up on its opponents.
Baekhyun Jang - Jörmungandr
The Jörmungandr's immense size allows it to forcefully ram into opponents, while its tail serves as a versatile weapon, capable of delivering powerful strikes akin to a whip or flail. It is able to withstand the fire of the Sky Torcher, and the blasts of Gem Breakers. In a battle, it can easily take down a large group of dragons with a single hit of its powerful tail.
