Explanation with Windigo, Wild, and Fire.
Windigo once created a "void" with Fire while they were still dating. She did this so they could have a big home to go to at the end of the day. She had more power over it, since she did all of the work. After that, she eventually got some urge to be a mom because it looked so nice and joyful, so she created Wild (also around the time Fire started to become abusive to her). Windigo tried to show Fire, but he just got mad. Then that's what caused them to split.
But Fire still had control over the void.
So he kept coming back, over and over again, eventually making Windigo think she was weak and had no control anymore. She forced Wild to be in the basement and convinced Fire that the woof didn't exist anymore. She takes care of Wild right after Fire has to leave.
