Unicorn Rider Mutation suggestions - Hair
This could be for a section of hair, or the full head of hair
Air
Atop their head is gone the usual hairstyle, instead replaced with bright white wisps of cloud that move gently in the breeze.
A rainbow light show dances softly against their jet black hair.
The ends of their hair are dark and stormy, menacing lightning bolts spark from their hair neatly curled into buns upon their head. With every passing spark, the updo becomes messier and messier.
A plumage of vivid red feathers adorn the head
Earth
A Mohawk of jagged rocky spikes run through the centre of their hair giving a new meaning to “punk rock”.
Like an hourglass, sand gently drips from their head down their long hair, forever shifting.
Autumnal leaves replace whatever hair they used to have, instead rustling in the wind.
It’s as if someone has spent time knitting together the flowers themselves into a crown that sits around their head, but it’s simply where the flowers chose to bloom. A flower crown like no other.
Fire
“Hey rider! The 90s called, they want their hairstyle back!” Like the classic frosted tips look, this rider’s hair is ablaze at the tips of the strands.
Black craggy rock has hardened along their parting, with slow flowing lava making its way to the end of the each strand’s tip.
It glows. There’s no other way to explain it; their hair now, simply… glows. It’s like they looked at the sun and their hair decided to capture its essence.
An ashy fringe now makes eating a cautious time with the rider careful not to brush their hair in case pieces of ash flake off into their food, or worse: other people’s food.
Spirit
The fire rider had less to worry about with their blazing tips, this spirit rider truly did look like they had the classic 90s frosted tips. The ends of their hair follicles had turned completely translucent, creating areas of white where the tips bunched together. Whether it was considered retro, punk or just… interesting, it was now theirs.
Sat atop their head was… it could have been black cloud, or smoke, except it was far darker. It was as if a black hole, or the deepest darkest abyss, had swallowed their hair, with only the outline visible as it allowed light to once again remain. Where the hair fell across anything, there was no question of seeing it, it was opaque, solid, black. Truly the absence of light.
Their quiffed fringe was translucent, so it hardly seemed like the effort of styling it was worthwhile, but that didn’t stop this rider.
Their hair was short and spiked, except it wasn’t hair standing up with the help of some form of hair product, it was now solid white bone.
Water
Their hair looked completely normal, except for the lines of seaweed tucked in between parts of their long hair… but hey, it was fine. “It’s more textured now.” The rider smiled; it was their answer to everyone’s question and nobody knew if it was fake or genuine happiness.
The hairline was no more, instead replaced with a line of small watery bubbles.
Iridescent flakes of fish scales formed randomly throughout their hair, glinting back as they caught the sunlight.
Wet. Just wet. Forever wet. They would learn to live with it, there’s nothing else they could do. It wasn’t fancy or bold like other rider’s mutations, it was as if they’d just got out of the shower and hadn’t had time. There was a salty sea breeze smell to it which was nice though.
