Unicorn Rider Mutation suggestions - Animal Inspired
Gone was the fleshy skin they once knew; their chin was now hard, like a bird’s beak.
Their hair was much the same, except for the brightly coloured feathers dispersed throughout the left side of their head.
Fur. It was a patch of fur on their arm. They weren’t sure what animal it was from, but at least they could hide it under their sleeves.
It was if they were wearing scorpion earrings. The pointed black stingers hung from their ears.
Their stomach now had patches of red and black scales, like one of The Island’s salamanders that lived in the Fire Zone, or some other kind of lizard they supposed, either way, they liked it.
Well, they had always wanted a beard… this wasn’t quite what they expected though. Tufts of white, black, and orange fur had sprouted along their jawbone in crisp stripes like a tiger’s coat.
Clean white bone protruded from their head and twisted to a sharp point. Their bone antlers weren’t too long - luckily! They were sure to have poked someone’s eye out if they had splayed out like a stag, or grown long like some antelopes - no, these were small and twisted like some kind of goat, and angled backwards.
Everyone had canine teeth, but this was on a whole different scale. The tips of the large white fangs poked out from their lips.
They’d never thought about their mutation in this way before, that it wouldn’t just be some part of them turning to water. It wasn’t uncommon, but they believed themselves to be common, nothing special - now they would definitely stand out with the brightly coloured sail fin down the middle of their head like a mohawk.
The sun shone through the shimmery substance between their toes and they couldn’t say they were totally unhappy with their new mutation. It wasn’t opaque like an otter or duck’s webbed feet, it was… daintier? Prettier? Perhaps it was just water stringing between their toes, either way it looked like glistening webbed feet.
