He could give the guy back to them, the people that might have thrown the guy into a portal while unconscious (the circumstances were definitely suspicious), or he could keep him. See if he could fix whatever was going on with the guy's ecto-signature. See if he was Liminal, like Jazz, Tucker, or Sam, or if maybe he was something else. Maybe the guy was turning into a halfa, like him. Jazz could use another brother, right? And it's not like their parents were going to notice another unknown kid popping in and out.

Hey may I recommend the Fanfic that first showed me the Tag Danny Fenton is Jason Todd. It's on AO3 and it's called Ecoes of the Past by Firecat23 it's uses the Jason Todd and Danny Fenton are the same person tag, the Jason Todd is Danny Fenton tag, the Jason Todd is a HAFA tag, the Jason Todd is not Red Hood tag, and adopted Danny Fenton tag. It's a slow burn reveal that builds up to a touching reunion between Jason and Bruce whilst not necessarily severing the life he has build up as Danny Fenton I don't want to reveal to much but the simple of it is that when Talia threw Jason into the Lazarus pit instead of spitting him back out it sucked him into the ghost zone where he seamed to have stayed for some time( that's my take on it at least.) And then spat him out in amity Park the Fentons then hit him with the GAV, the adopt him and name him Danny because he can't remember anything from before ( It's never stated explicitly but I'm 100 percent certain that it's was getting smacked into the GAVS windshield that gave him his memory loss.)
