The orgin of my story universe. Aka a big upload analysis peice.
Back in 2007 I started Writing a story called Ninja Police which was inspired by Naruto, Totally spies and Code name kids next door.
In that I wanted to create a universe about primary female characters. I would later call this Brand Tough girl. If there one thing about Fandoms is them criticizing female characters for falling in love. Just because a tough goth girl falls in love or a princess decides to not marry out of obligation (Brave for example)
So, Some of my couples Inspirations for Fire Crystal/Danel Storm was Narusaku, BBRAE, and Tipo.
The difference between Narusaku is Kishimoto got pulled two different directions on his staff. Unlike Kishimoto I know what parings I want, How I want them to happen. I will fight and defend the characters I have built.
Those couples have one thing in common.
Those couples had goofy comic relief guys melt the cruel, or indifferent exterior of the love interest.But, Falling in love didn't compeletly make them dependant on the guy all the time they could still hold their own. Maybe because I'm a sucker for romance when it has time to blossom.
Back during part one of Naruto I adored NaruHina/Narusaku equally for I could see the possibility of both of them working. Then Shippuden happened. I fell in love compeletly with Narusaku and hoped for it to be a reality. I know now it was shameless pandering for book sales and to mislead the audience.
The idea it's self wasn't bad just the way it was handled. If Kishimoto truly wanted Hinata from the beginning he should have had Hinata go on more missions with Naruto or hanging out with him outside of work.
That is why I loved Narusaku they had quiet moments, and moments where you could tell that they generally cared about each other.
While I will say this Hinata was shy and I of all people know it is difficult to confess feelings. But, she could have tired to get past a few of her layers by just saying ,"Hi or Do you want to train? Those are six to four words."
But instead he flashforward 15 years. 15 years! And when I found out that he was trying to justify it. I felt like making a Incredibles joke.
I get he was tired but this a universe that millions of people had read around the world. The author and the writer have a unspoken contract. We buy your book then we trust that you give it the proper ending it deserves.
In conclusion,
It is not just about Romance or ships either it is you keeping your word and not to mislead the audience in a unfavorable way.
