Here’s the base model for the Goblin Wolf Rider Lord. Definitely a very classic fantasy feel to him because, though you can’t see it in the pictures because of the lighting and the metal used, he’s not really got a square face like a lot of orc/goblin models have now.
I liked the wolf mount, though I felt as a leader, he needed just a bit... more to him, so I added a piece of slate to the base and some resin bits to the base, while to the wolf itself, I added some severed heads from the GW zombie kit and a small buckler type shield from the Warlord Games Roman Veteran Legionaries sprue I had.
Now, giving him some comparison shots with a Fireforge Games mounted knight and foot serjeant (third pic) and a Perry Miniatures 100 Years War longbowman and a Frostgrave Barbarian (fourth pic) it’s plain to see that he is a fairly sizable model that fits 28mm scale pretty damn well.
I look forward to painting him.
My coworker picked up the Fireforge Games Dark Souls board game, and has let me paint the dudes. It's going to be slow progress, but the first batch of Undead Lothric soldiers are finished up.
First painted minis of 2025! Six zombies (undead peasants from Fireforge Games) and a Battletech Cataphract for my bois Rambukk's Raiders who mostly just work for the Capellans. I've got a second one that I'm going to paint up in proper Capellan colors later.

These are very good zombles. I love the one that has a bird. I did the skin by doing a coat of Guilliman Flesh and then a coat of Gryphcharger Grey, two colors that are both irritatingly translucent with poor coverage but guess what, that means they go great together to make grey dead looking skin! I've finally found a use for them! Now only uhhhh 12 more zombies to go!
And that's that box done! Eighteen Fireforge Games undead peasants, ready for the table!
They will make a good Ravenous Horde unit for Dragon Rampant, revenants for Silver Bayonet, Zombies for Frostgrave, and, well, anything else one might need zombies for honestly! A zombie is quite a versatile mini in general. And I think I have 2 more somewhere that I can add if I need to make a unit of 20. Seriously Fireforge, 18 in a box? What an awkward number!
