Because it complicates things in the absolute funniest way if it is a romantic situation between Firestar and Moonshrike- If FireSand is a thing, does Sandstorm know Fire's making eyes at her cousin, is that something she's cool with?? Does FireSand even happen?? Are Leaf and Squirrel secretly FireShrike kids?? How much shit does Fire get from Graystripe if he still had a short-lived crush on Spottedleaf when he first joined the clan, because he apparently has a thing for tortoiseshell doctors??
