@rsfiresidetales has been a lucullan feast of all things creepy, eerie, spooky and mysterious. Thank you so much, mods! 

Reveals are coming closer, but in the meantime, here’s my Top 5! In no particular order:

- Out there on the water by flora_tyronelle: a rich and polished prose, an eerie seaside atmosphere, a sweet, tender ending. Mesmerizing like the sound of ocean waves crashing on the shore.

- They Never Do by NachoDiablo: a spine chilling tale. Remus is desperately in love and willing to do anything, and Sirius... he’s definitely not the same. A deliciously creepy Bring Back Black. 

- Fog by earlybloomingparentheses: an impeccably written journey through Europe. The cities are so brilliantly, so vividly and so effortlessly described, the characterization of R & S is on point. Masterful use of first-person narrative.

- Skin by Chromat1cs: an amazing Magic AU full of winks to Nordic mythology. Luscious, evocative prose and the hottest chemistry between R & S. 

- Black’s House of Curiosities by TheFifthBiscuit: another lovely Magic AU. An interesting plot full of unsaid words, blackmail, secrets and, last but not least, pining. Bonus: Sirius is adorable. 

Ps: the whole collection is amazing, I highly recommend to read them all (yes, one is mine!).

Day Fourteen

Cirque de Lune

The same words that have been whispered around the country for years now — the circus that travels with the moon. The circus that appears suddenly like clockwork, the new moon announcing its arrival, but the location always left a mystery until it’s not. No announcements in the paper precede its arrival, no advertisements printed on black and white ink are posted throughout the town. One day it is not there, and the next, it simply appears.

Self-Rec Sunday

Where the Mist Falls was the first fic I actually plotted out like some sort of mature writer 😱 for the RS Fireside Fest. As a fan of the m/m mystery genre I’m really happy how I was able to weave together a plot and secrets while trying to keep up the spooky small town vibe.

If you like the idea of FBI agent Sirius Black in a very fitted suit and reluctant Deputy Remus Lupin trying not to fall head over heals, I think you’ll enjoy it!
