THE WARRIOR CODE

a guide to the law of the land.

CODE ONE. defend your clan even with your life. all trespassers shall be challenged and prosecuted under the scrutiny of clan leader. [CLEAR SKY’S RULE]

CODE TWO. feed your vulnerable before yourself. kits, elders, queens and sick cats must be fed before the apprentices and warriors. warriors shall be fed last of all. [ROARING THUNDER’S VOW]

CODE THREE. an honorable warrior shall not kill in order to win their battles, unless they are outside the code or necessary. [FOURTREES’ DESECRATE]

CODE FOUR. kits will only be apprenticed after six moon cycles. [DAISY TAIL’S LAW]

CODE FIVE. loyalty to your clan is paramount - warriors shall not take mates outside their clan’s boundaries or fall astray to the temptations of another clan. [STORMCLAN’S FOLLY]

CODE SIX. the current second upon the death, exile or retirement of the clan leader shall become the next star. the next second must be chosen by moonhigh. [FLOWERSTAR’S DECREE]

CODE SEVEN. accordingly to each clans’ customs, newly promoted cats must sit their respective vigils for their new role. [NIGHT OF LISTENING]

CODE NINE. word of the clan’s star shall be law as though it was spoken within the code itself. [DARKSTAR’S LAW]

THE CARNAL COMMANDMENTS.

QUEENS’ RIGHTS. queens may choose whether or not to reveal the sire to their litter, regardless of his origin. mating outsiders such as codeless is allowed to preserve genetic diversity, though consorting with everkits is forbidden.

regardless of their origin, kits belong to their queen’s clan unless that clan has decided otherwise. kittens born of different clans fall under the care of the matriarch and the clan whether or not the queen is still around. the offending queen and sire shall be punished accordingly. kittens born of codeless are not to be challenged unless the loyalty of the queen is called into question.

THE FOURTREES TRUCE. every full moon all the clans will gather at fourtrees to converse and share news of the land. during the night of full moon, whether at or outside of fourtrees, the grey wing truce must be held. no cats may fight under silverpelt’s open eye.

THE WARRIOR OATH. under the sacred oath of being bound by warrior blood, warriors reject the soft life of an everkit. warriors shall not, without reason, step foot within twolegplace, eat their food or converse with everkits. everkits should be challenged fiercely at the border and made to flee, refrain from direct bodily contact.

SEERHOOD. seers have a code of their own, often called silverpelt’s code. breaking any of the rules will cause a seer to be stripped of their role and silenced of their voice.

seers may not take a mate or bear kits, their devotion shall remain to silverpelt and silverpelt alone. close friendships that may interfere with this are encouraged to be challenged.

upon a former warrior becoming a seer, they must be stripped of their claws and wade in the pool they find that reflects the moon, cleansing their soul of the sins committed under their previous role. their name shall be stripped from them and after their vigil they shall reemerge by a new name. likewise, seers shall not shed blood.

seers shall not speak falsehoods, speak poison and fear into the hearts of their clanmates, or speak of themself as though equivalent to silverpelt.

do not challenge seers, stars and seconds on their way to mothermouth. the code may be upheld, such as preystealing, where applicable. seers are free to wander with purpose, but not without. seers must always be accompanied by a trained cat on outtings.

KITS’ RIGHTS. kits of every origin are to be protected by the clans even amongst warring states. no cat shall purposefully put a kit in harm’s way.

what if i got a sign that i had to go to skyclan midway through arc 3 and brought along one cat from every clan (except shadowclan) to maintain neutrality and strengthen the bond of the alliance between the clans, but on the way you began to follow me and there had been a lack of sightings of you for a fair while and everyone had assumed you were dead (you weren’t exiled from the clans you ran away at the moment of climax in your civil war screaming obscenities) so now we all had to deal with your presence the entire way and then when we get to skyclan after spending a week or so there an eclipse happens and jaypaw reveals that he’s been connected to the happenings of the main territories due to his dream powers and leafstar is able to connect some dots that the clans might be in trouble because of that AND WE WERE ALL COLOURED IN NEON!!

you know, normal firesun au shenanigans. this is probs one of my fav scenes bc i think it has the most people in the wrong places at the wrong times, which is funny.

sort of a redraw. more so bringing an old concept from 2 years ago to life.

In Firesun au, the windclan civil war is going to have a lot higher stakes with Mudclaws role as a primary antagonist. It’ll really challenge Firesuns leadership and be nice and conflict building.
