his first instinct is to reassure you.

he’s the kind of guy to ask permission before leaning in or even brushing your hair behind your ear.

absolutely adores the fact he gets to be your first, but never brags about it.

The fact that quite a few people from Vervunhive got deaf by the artillery bombardment and Dan makes it a part of some of the characters later on is pretty nice. I think he could have given it a bit more room than he actually did in the end, but that it's there at all is already just nice.
all of the 40k fan content i see on tumblr is about admech, space marines, or primarchs/ the heresy. dont see enough guard content. where my tannith bois at? Gaunt's Ghosts was like the first series black library started and i feel like nobody shows it any love these days. (yeah i just finished book 5 of the series lol)
