No posts for a bit as we navigate Emma & Jamison's first time being sick. Thus far it has meant fevers, runny nose, mouth breathing, restless sleep, & sleepy, fussy babes. Not too bad all things considered. No vomiting. No poop issues. And still able to kind of sleep through the night. The other good news is they are still eating ok, which is important to avoid dehydration. Plus we're adding in 2-3 attempts with a bottle of water between milk bottles. We are lucky & worked hard to hold off them getting sick until they're almost 13 months old! This is because we've wanted to avoid having to stay at the hospital. I believe that its important to get sick & get better to build immunity and a strong body, however only when babies are strong enough. Colds & RSV are worse for babies with lung issues. Yet just off the top of my head I know 4 full term babies that got RSV & 2 had to stay in the hospital for at least a night. So all is well here & hopefully both Emma and Jamison are on the mend. Just keeping an eye on their temperature & making sure they make enough wet diapers. And their mom & dad have held it together: emailed the pedi only once & have otherwise been rational parents. So far...
