First draft of possible opener for a story (give me criticism)

I awoke with a start, winter sky staring back at me through the tangled mess of bare branches hanging above me, the white of the clouds forcing me to squint as blood rushes to my head while I gather the strength to move from my ditch on wet ground. My eyes focus in on the features of my surroundings, none of which are familiar to me, neither was the dress hanging limply on my body, then I realised I had no recollection of anything, nothing at all. Well just that I was a human with emotions, language and mobility, but how was that going to help me in such a situation as this?
