My first nightmare, when I was like 5
This is about the first dream I can remember and it terrified me. I had gone to sleep on my mother's bed even though she had told me not to, and I had this nightmare that I was inside some very poorly rendered, probably even half-completed video game. The background was the standard green screen color and there was this (again, very poorly rendered) image of a playground spinning around very fast, I can still picture it in my mind. I just knew that there were monsters running very fast in one big circle around the playground, although I couldn't see them. Then I was in the playground, and I was hiding under a large wooden board with this little blond boy who was either my age or older. I was terrified but at least I had someone with me. (I didn't know him in real life though.) I woke up terrified and felt bad that I had disobeyed my mother.
