The Blade Itself isn't perfect but it's still a much better first impression! Best Served Cold benefits from having read the og trilogy beforehand but it's still!! a much better first impression please please The Devils doesn't represent Abercrombie's skills please listen to me put that book down

I started The Blade Itself thinking the entire first book would be a drag, because people say it doesn't have much plot (I still have no idea if that's true yet) however, I'm *instantly* captivated by the characters. And something about Abercrombie's prose is really working for me.
