Gavin Newsom's wife has chosen a gender-neutral title instead of going by "First Lady."

Mia didn’t know when the internal questioning began. Perhaps it started during her waits outside of Marshall’s private school? How she would admire the boys...and girls, in uniform? Or how when she’d go shopping with her mother, she’d stop at the tabloid stand and admire the actors and actresses on the covers? Or perhaps it was the day she met Emerson.
Emerson was the same age as Mia, 16 years old. She had blonde hair with one blue streak down her bangs, and the most mesmerizing hazel eyes. She attended the same school as Mia’s brother, Marshall, and was in 10th grade. She lived in the same neighborhood as Mia, only two streets over. It was Emerson who introduced Mia to what being bisexual was, because Emerson was bisexual herself. In her 16 years, Emerson had ‘dated’ five people. Two girls, and three boys. She was always nice to Marshall, especially when the bullies picked on him. Emerson knew self-defense.
They had started ‘dating’ only two weeks ago, but Mia had never been happier. She now waited for Emerson as well as Marshall after school, and the three all walked home together, Mia and Emerson usually walking hand in hand. She was happy to have Emerson as more than a friend, to teach her the things about the world that her mother and papa had not yet taught her. But she knew that eventually, she’d have to tell her parents. She couldn’t hide her relationship forever.
And it turned out that she wouldn’t have to.
They had just returned home from school. As soon as the door was open, Marshall burst through the door, yelling for their father.
“Daddy, we’re home! And Mia brought her girlfriend!”
Have you ever thought you met the right person, and that you just couldn't stop thinking about them? I have.
last year i met a very nice girl, we will call her Jill. Jill was very sweet, she listened to me, we had fun conversations and we shared the same hobby.
Me and Jill grew close, so close that we fell in love and started dating eachother. We were both very excited, she was my first genuine gf. And well, my first everything(ifykyk). But i noticed some strange changes in Jill as we were together for 4 months.
For me if i am dating someone the 3,6,9 months and 1 year are very importand to me, and i like to have small celebrations. Like going out or have dinner somewhere, just small things. But Jill didn't really have the same idea as me, and i respected that. Untill i realized she didn't want to do those small celebrations with me. She thought it was a little pointless.
and from that moment, i knew something was up. I just didn't know what.
Next part coming up soon.

I kinda dread the moment when I introduce my first s/o to my family and friends
kinda a "finally"-moment yk
my bsf will probably be proud of me and that thought makes me uncomfortable
One of these mornings, my first thought of the day is going to be something other than him.
