You walked to your father's desk and bowed politely in front of him. When he was with you, your father wasn't the big mafia boss he had to be but a tender dad who loved his daughter more than anything, more than his clan, more than his own life.
"You called me, dad?" you asked as you sat on the chair in front of the desk before taking the pack of cigarettes in the pocket of your red silk shirt.
"Did you talk with Mr Lee's son?" he asked with a sigh.
"Yeah, I talked with him and he's not my type. He's too... I don't know... Hm... Stupid?" You answered, blowing the smoke with a smirk.
You saw your father rubbing the top of his nose, annoyed by the fact you didn't want to know more all the men you met. He didn't want to force you to get married but, you were 23 and you had to find a husband. He knew you could lead the clan alone, but he would be reassured if a man was on your side.
"Y/n, my dear baby, my precious daughter, you know that I don't want to force you, but you need to find your future husband. You know that I'm going to retire soon. I know you'll be a wonderful boss, all our men agree with me, but you need to find a man. I can't let you lead the clan all alone." He gave you a sweet look with a tender smile.
"I know, dad." You sighed, putting your cigarette back between your lips. "Can I have the day to think about it? If I don't find someone until 11am, you can marry me with the man you want."
He nodded with sadness in his eyes. He wanted you to find a man on your own but, since you didn't seem really interested, he didn't have the choice.
You greeted him with a little bow and leaved the office, teeth clenched and anger in your eyes. You needed to think about something else, you needed to release yourself. You needed to fight.
There was a big cave in your father's luxurious house. You loved to be here, with music played loud and all your weapons exposed against the wall. Even if the mafias fought with guns, you always liked swords, especially your dear katana. Your mother's katana. You were taking classes during your childhood and all the men who worked under your father orders were impressed by your skills. You were beautiful, majestic, unreal when you were flying around in the cave, your katana clenched in your long and thin hands.
But this time wasn't enough, you needed more than training alone. You wanted an opponent. You needed an opponent.
You grabbed your phone and called one of your father's men, asking him if he could send you his son. You know he was good at sword fighting because he was taking classes with you when you were children. You waited few minutes, continuing your training alone when you heard the door of the cave open.
"What does the princess want?" A smirk came on your lips when you heard his deep and annoyed voice. "Maybe more clothes." He added when he saw you wearing just a pair of short shorts and a brassiere.
"Don't waste my time, Jaebum." You ordered, facing him. "I need to punch someone in the face so, of course, I thought of you."
"I don't hit women or, for you, children." He mocked with a smirk and a look of disdain.
"Me too but I'll make an exception with you."
He sighed and, instead of facing you, he took a pair of punching mitts. "Don't hurt yourself, princess." He mocked again, knowing that you hated when someone supposed that you were a weak little girl.
You started to hit the punching mitts with your fists but wanted to erase the smirk on his lips more than anything. You tried to hit his right thigh with your calf, but he stopped you, pushing you away, chuckling. He knew you too well.
You two knew each other since... since... since forever. Jaebum was older than you by a year and, like you, he was living in the clan since his birth. You never saw him like a friend, even less as a big brother. You always saw him as the annoying guy who was always better than you in everything. This annoying guy who fought better than you, who learned faster than you, who was a better strategist than you. He even cooked better than you! You hated him, you hated him so much.
But more than his, you hated yourself for loving him.
Even if he wasn't kind with you, always finding a way to get you on your nerves, he was always with you, cheering you up, in his own way, when you felt down. He always was the type of men you liked. You knew he was cold outside, but you saw him one time with the new born of one of your father's men. The smile on his lips was sweet and his eyes was full of tenderness. More, and you couldn't deny it, he was awesome with his perfect muscular body, his messy black hair wich he sometimes styled in a comma hairstyle or just pulled them back, his sharp jawline that you wanted to bite everytime you saw it. You even loved the way he called you princess even if he did this for annoying you. He was everything you wanted but you, you annoyed him more than anything else. You knew it.
"Ah! It's not enough!" You yelled as you leaned your back against the wall, sweat on your forehead. You pulled back your long black hair, removing few strands from your face. "Grab a katana!"
Jaebum looked at you with a concerned look. He knew something was wrong. He saw you in all your states, he never wanted to miss one of your smiles or letting someone else wipe away your tears even if he didn't dare to touching you. He wanted to be the one you needed but he knew he had no right to be this person. Discreetly, he watched over his shoulder and saw you, seated against the wall, your head in your hands, your fingers gripped tighten into your hair. He hated seeing you like that. He sighed and focus back on the swords in front of him.
You knew Jaebum would take time to choose the perfect katana for him and it didn't mind you since, when he was looking for his weapon, you could admire him. God, you wanted him so bad! You would die for being in his arms just one time, feeling his body against yours, hearing his heart beating against your head, smelling his skin, kissing his lips. Just one time.
After few minutes, he took a katana and placed himself in front of you, his hands firmly wrapped around the handle of the sword. You looked at him, a smirk on your lips, and engaged the fight without a word.
"If you get hurt, it won't be my fault." Jaebum said when he saw that your anger was taking control over your ability and you didn't avoid his attacks very well.
"Shut up." You growled, trying to hit him with your katana but missing him.
"Oh, let me guess, daddy wants you to get married again." He teased you with a sadistic smile.
"I said shut up!" You growled louder with wet eyes.
"But you played hard to get once again. Or the guy saw how childish you are."
"SHUT UP!"
You tried to hit him once again but failed and his katana cut your arm. Not deeply but the pain was here, as the blood, and you threw away your katana before putting your hand on your wound and falling on the floor.
"Princess!" Jaebum exclaimed, throwing his katana and running over you.
He kneeled in front of you and, for the first time, you saw a Jaebum that you've never seen before. He was sorry but, more than anything else, he was worried, scared. He hurt you and he couldn't forgive himself. It was the last thing he wanted to do.
He was about to stand up and run to the door for calling help, but your bloody hand grabbed his. He looked at you and saw your eyes full of tears. He fell in front of you and bent his head.
"I'm sorry, Y/n! Please, forgive me! I didn't want to... I... I... Please, princess, I.."
"Kiss me." You said, seeing him reached his head fast, looking at you in confusion. "Shut up and kiss me, Jae..."
You couldn't finish, his lips were on yours, his hands cupped your face, reaching closer to his. The kiss was slow but passionate and you felt electricity all over your body. You wanted this for so long and it was so much better that you what expected. His lips were a million times sweeter than you could imagine. He tried to pull away, still worried about your arm, but you threaded your fingers through his hair and forced him to kiss you again.
A smile stretched Jaebum's lips as he reconnected them on yours, letting a moan of pleasure escapes from his mouth before pulling away. "Y/n, we need to check your arm."
"It's okay." You answered, looking at your bloody biceps. "It's not that bad, it's just a little cut. And don't call me by my name."
"Really? You like this nickname?" Jaebum laughed. "I thought you hated it."
"I love it when you say it." You admitted with rosy cheeks, trying to avoid his eyes.
"I love you, princess." He whispered putting his forehead against yours. "I love you more anything."
You opened your eyes wide, thinking you didn't hear him saying that. It was your imagination, obviously. He didn't, it couldn't be real. He couldn't love you since he was always annoyed by you. You could see it on his perfect face. You placed your hands on his torso and looked at him straight into his mesmerizing dark eyes. He looked you back and, seeing that you were confused, he added:
"Don't you believe me, princess?"
"I... I don't know. It's... it's hard to believe that you... you..."
"I loved you since the first time I saw you. I may have been a baby, but I knew that you'll be the only one for me. I grew up taking care of you. You don't remember because you were too young, but I haven't spent a minute without being with you. But my father saw that. He saw that I loved you more than I should." He sighed and clenched his jaws as he thought about this memory. "My father told me that you weren't for me, that I couldn't love you. You're the boss's daughter, I... I wasn't good enough for..."
You couldn't let him say that, you couldn't let him say that he wasn't good enough for you, because he was the only one you wanted. You kissed him again, turning the sweet kiss into an aggressive and needy one. You wanted him to know that he was more that good enough for you and you wanted him, him and only him. He kissed you back, smiling a little, proving he needed you as much as you needed him, and pulled you closer to him, putting his arms around your waist and lifting you up, keeping your back against the wall.
Immediately, you wrapped yours legs around his waist, lifted up his black tank before throwing it away and growled when you felt his hands grabbing your cheeks, when you felt him moving his hips against yours. His lips left yours and starting to go down, kissing each centimetre of your jawline before leaving wet kisses in your neck and planting his teeth in your skin. You whimpered and scratched his back as you felt him getting harder between your legs.
"If someone comes in..." Jaebum started to chuckle in your neck.
"They'll see that I found my future husband." You cut him off before seeing him reach his head so fast and look straight into your eyes, his wide open. "What? Don't you want?"
"I'm not good en..."
"Say that one more time and I swear I'll cut your throat." You threatened him, running your fingers through his hair and pulling him back into a quick but sweet kiss. "I love you, Jaebum, I love you for as long as I can remember. I always wanted you and only you. And I always will."
A cheeky smirk stretched the corner of his lips and he bit his bottom lip as he tucked a strand of hair behind your ear. "Say it again, princess. Say it for me once again." He said with a deep voice.
"Say what?"
"That you love me. I want to hear that again."
"I love y..."
He cut you off, kissing you quickly. "Again."
You raised an eyebrow: "I... I love y..."
He cut off you once again and did this everytime he asked you to say you loved him. You couldn't help but chuckle when he did that, showing you a sweet and cute face of him. A face that you couldn't imagine he could have, especially with you.
Both of you knew that you wouldn't go further for the moment, but you stayed like this, in each other's arms, your legs around his waist for a long time. It seemed like you weighed a feather for him, he didn't feel any pain in his arms and held you against him, his face buried in your neck, leaving sweet kiss on your skin and on the mark, he did with his teeth. Your chin was leaning on the top of his head and you couldn't help yourself to stroke his hair tenderly.
"Jaebum?"
"Mmmh?" He mumbled near to your ear.
"Tell me is not a dream. Tell me that I'll wake up in my bed lying next to you every day."
He left a tender and lovely kiss on your jawline, raised his head and smiled at you. "I promise, princess. But now, we have to check you arm."
"Oh, I forgot my arm!" You said surprised, feeling no pain. "And after, we will see my father and yours. I can't wait to see your father's face!" You laughed as he helped you to get back on the floor. "Oh, and I didn't know that you could be this sweet and cute, Jaebum”.
"Don't get too used to this." He smirked putting back his tank.
"I hope, I prefer when you're an arrogant asshole, you're sexier."
"When I'm what?" He said reaching his head and frowning at you. He saw you grab the handle of the door and stick your tongue out before running out of the cave. "Come here, princess!" But he only heard you laughed louder as you sneaked back upstairs.
It may be the first laugh you had together since a very long time, but it wasn't the last.
