It’s my first night in Quebec City and let me say I am not pleased.
Not only did our AirBnB not work out in a drastic way, stranding us in the middle of the night, the hotel we had to resort to for temporary accommodation was rude.

First trip alone, pt 1
Holy fuck.
I have tried drinking beer for 14 years. Well.
One day in Prague and I think I'm going to marry this beer.
I don't care it wouldn't be called beer in Germany but this cherry beer will be my undoing.
Also, it's half past 7 and I'm tipsy. I didn't even plan to drink. This city is evil. And beautiful.

First Time, Truly Alone
To be honest, this is actually the first time I've ever really traveled by myself, let alone through the whole airport security hassle and stuff. Plus, it's a whole new and different country. It was really freaky. My heart was really nervous and pounding. Similar to that feeling when you really love someone (or crushing on someone hard, whatever). It's a fun but also nerve-wracking feeling.
As my family (minus my little brother, second brother, and dad) said good-bye to me at the airport, I was internally freaking out inside. I'm good at keeping calm on the outside. Haha, kinda sucks in a way but it's whatever. I somehow managed to obtain some won before entering arriving in Korea. I figured out my way around the airport in Chicago. And oh my gosh, Korean Air was by the far the most comfortable flight I've ever, ever, flew on. Plus the food wasn't too bad. When I arrived in the airport in Incheon after a 14 hour flight (not including layover), it really reminded me of those Korean dramas. A bunch of people were standing behind a fence waiting for their arrivals. A guy in a suit was standing there with a sign with my name on it. Haha, it was kind of funny and made me feel almost important. Of course, after that, I had to wait with a bunch of other international students for the other arrivals. It took a while. And unfortunately, the majority of those students were from China or Taiwan, so they mainly spoke Mandarin. There was one male student and he was from Japan so in a way, he's in a similar position as me. Luckily for him though, one of the Chinese girls knew a little proper Japanese (unlike me who knows random verbage, lol). For some reason, there was a lack of English speakers. Thankfully, I know a tiny, tiny, tiny bit of Mandarin. But still, it is never enough. It truly is difficult to communicate with others when one doesn't know the other's language.
Now, I'm in the dorm. Trying to get myself settled and stuff. There's some stuff I need to buy. There's no trash can in the room so that's something I need to get. (Why on earth would you not supply a trash can? -____-) There is also no WiFi in the dorm room. I'm not sure about downstairs yet. But as for the room, I have to use an ethernet cord. My phone is another problem. Wonder if I'll ever get the unlock code for it from AT&T...
I hope for a better and more settling day tomorrow!
