Having ADHD (and the stereotypically chaotic flat), anxiety problems, chronic pain and a check up visit from the animal care organisation from which I will adopt my cats this Saturday is one hell of a combination.

My heart burns from racing, my head feels like it's going to explode, my back hurts like fuck from scrubbing the goddamn floor and I'm still fucking terrified. Even though my flat has not been this clean since I stopped using chemical help to motivate me to clean.

(Having been sick 3 of the last 5 weeks really does not help either.)

So, I planned to adopt two young rescue cats from Romania. There was one cat who got hit by a car and was barely alive that managed to fight herself back into life. And of course I wanted to give her the hone she deserves.

Problem is, we just found out she's about 12 years old. And I didn't want another old cat because caring for Mia really drained me.

The only solution I can come up with that doesn't feel like heartbreak is... Getting three cats.

Rescue grandma and two young cats.

Then she can live with me as long as she can and I don't have to look for a new companion for the remaining cat.

I guess I'm gonna have three cats.

My notes of the rainbow net (up to blue, haven't finished the purple part yet)

I think I made trebles instead of DCs in round 1 of the net, but that's the round that's not being properly stretched so maybe that's an improvement.

I'm really curious how long it will take to crochet the second net, because the trial and error part and the stretching out after every round sure took its time.

(This is not a finished pattern or anything. Sure, you can try it, but it's very possible there are mistakes or parts that can be misunderstood. These are my notes so I can crochet the second net without checking the proportion after every round)

ok so, I approached my local library with a proposal to donate a mural as a way to A: build portfolio/gain practical experience and B: give back to a beloved public institution. The director was very enthusiastic about it and i've been working on it since the beginning of March. Come with me as I endeavor to paint what is in all honesty an excessive amount of birds

I wanted the birds to look like they were actually in the space so first thing after doing the draft was to do a lighting study

after that I covered the walls in letters in lieu of a projector/vr headset bc i have neither of those :) Then i take a picture of the section of wall and superimpose the lineart over top of it so I can pencil in the lines

et voila

and that was a whole week on it's own so next comes the paintin' >:)

Made quite the progress on my rainbow net

It doesn't look like it but it's quite even when it's stretched out. The middle part is a tiny bit loose but since it's probably going in front of the speaker boxes I think it will look great.

Two colours left, and then I really have to write down the stitchcounts of every row before I start the second one. I got three weeks left, should be enough!
