So I saw the "first VS latest" thing going around & thought it sounded fun but I couldn't resist a quick shoot first so this is kinda "first photoshoot (with my first V & also literally first virtual photoshoot ever) VS similar poses from today's photoshoot" 💜

This is the earliest digital art I could find, though it's probably not the first. Seems fitting that it's a Redwall OC, haha! I feel like a major driver of my development as an artist has always been drawing strong female fantasy characters! >:D

Not my oldest digital piece, or my latest, but I think a good example of why I feel I’ve been pretty stagnant for the past 10+ years... (I used to play a ton of old hand me down games from friend’s backlog back then)

I wanted to add the pic below too, from 2008, because I distinctly remember this was where my style “clicked” for me. I’ve never stopped drawing constipated burly dudes since :>

First vs Last

I was tagged by the illustrious @zuendwinkel (thank you!) to show my first artwork and the last one.

Sticking to digital art, my first ever piece would be this little thing from 2010, when I got my first tablet. I sold my wedding ring after a traumatic divorce to buy Intuous 3 with the money and found a freelance gig as a graphic designer. I used to create flooring textures and packs of web avatars back then.

And here's the last completed piece. Btw, my Intuos 3 is still alive, if barely, but now I'm drawing using a cute little Pen and Touch tablet that was gifted to me by one generous soul. So if someone tells you that it's the absence of cool tech that's limiting your progress - pay them no mind.

I'm quite proud of my artistic journey and am hoping there's still more ground ahead of me to cover. I have no idea, where I'm going, but I'm going there!
