I spent the first few days of the new year with my family in wales, so this is a little overdue! This year, i’m focusing on my university studies, but also on the pure pursuit of knowledge. This is the start of me figuring out what really interests me, what I want to do with my life, and in the effort of making this year a positive one, I thought i’d start it off with my favourite colour! 💛🌻

Yesterday there was a big fireworks show on campus, so I met up with some friends and ended up having a great night (even though I didn’t feel like going out!)
I was supposed to have 3 consecutive hours of lectures this afternoon but 2 have been cancelled! 🙌 Of course it just means we’re going to have to catch up the work, but an early weekend is always appreciated!

I’ve had a mixed weekend. On friday I had my maths test, which i think went really well. I went to see my uni’s performance of Ruddigore, and that was really fun and inspired me to get involved with more music through uni. But I have an organic test on tuesday, and I haven’t covered as much as I would have liked to, it’s just not been a super productive weekend. The workload is starting to pile on a bit, so I just have to try not to get overwhelmed and do little bits each day 🌻

I took yesterday evening off for some well deserved rest after revising hard for my organic test. I think it well as well as it could have done considering I didn’t have as much revision time as i would have liked, but at least it’s done now! Now time to catch up on all my other work, like this tutorial sheet.

My best friend came down to visit me this weekend! I’d forgotten how grounding it is to talk to someone who knows you really well, and I haven’t felt this much like myself in the last 2 months! 🍂
