In some of these x readers John's dad is mostly portrayed as some average dude, when in the book and I believe in the movies it is mentioned that John didn't have a good relationship with his father, which adds more to his trauma and adds more to his character.
In movie 4 John mentions that he didn't even know if his dad was even alive, hinting they have the same relationship as in the books.
John, especially in first blood is shown to be calm and mellow, even friendly as we see in the first scene when he is talking with delmars mom, joking with her.
I honestly want a one shot where John reminisced over his past and has a slight trigger from some childhood memory instead of it being mostly about his time in Vietnam, like he feels slightly pathetic that out of everything he could have a panic attack about its about reeves giving him a beating.
