And she’s off! The nugget’s first day of 5th grade. The sign reads: she’s 10yo, 4’ 5.5” tall, and she wants to be, and I quote, “how would I know?” I respect her honesty! And yet, I do believe we have a budding writer/illustrator/graphic designer on our hands. I mean…she correctly used “idiom” in a sentence last night. And showed me her latest story that she wrote and animated on her iPad. WOW One thing is for sure: this girl is going places! Can’t wait to see where her immense creativity, empathy, and critical thinking take her this year.
